Abstract: A sleep-a-way couch. The sleep-a-way couch has a first support adapted to support a first mattress. The sleep-a-way couch has a second support adapted to support a second mattress and moveably positionable and is generally positionable beneath the first support. The sleep-a-way couch has a seating portion having a width and being positioned above the surface on which the sleep-a-way couch rests to define a seating height. The first mattress and the second mattress are about the same length and the ratio of the seating width to the seating height is within the range of from about 0.8 to about 1.3.
