Publication number: 20230087276Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods that facilitate purchase of objects from merchants. For example, a user may browse a website available from an object management service and identify objects that they desire to purchase. Rather than having to locate the seller of those objects to make a purchase, the implementations described herein facilitate a connection between the user and the merchant so that the merchant's sales are increased and the user is provided an efficient and safe shopping experience.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2022Publication date: March 23, 2023Inventors: Jon Jenkins, Catherine Cissy Lee

Patent number: 10562046Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a dual shutoff nozzle that can mitigate a user positioning a bale handle of the nozzle in an intermediate position to achieve fog flow through the nozzle. A nozzle may be devised that allows the bale to be disposed in a fully closed position, and/or disposed in a fully open position, and to switch between a fog spray and a straight tip flow. The nozzle may comprise a first flow control element, and a shutoff component that controls the first control element. The nozzle can comprise a second flow control element that controls flow between a straight nozzle outlet and a fog pattern outlet; and the second flow control element can be controlled by a pattern sleeve using a rotation motion.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2016Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: Akron Brass CompanyInventors: Jon Jenkins, Peter Lauffenburger, Kevin Petit

Patent number: 10467237Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, systems and methods that enable users to manage, search for, share and discover objects based on a context of the object from the user's perspective. The same object may have vastly different meanings (context) to different individuals based on how they experience the object. Rather than managing objects solely based on information about the object, the implementations described allow users to specify a context for the object and manage objects based on that context. In addition, external sources may provide supplemental information about objects and/or representations of objects.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2013Date of Patent: November 5, 2019Assignee: Pinterest, Inc.Inventors: Ben Silbermann, Evan Sharp, Paul Sciarra, Jon Jenkins

Publication number: 20140267439Abstract: A system includes cloud-based resources having backend storage for maintaining single copies of display content items, such as images, and a frontend content delivery network (CDN) to dynamically format and deliver the content items in response to client requests. In the case of digital images, for example, a single copy of full resolution version of the image is stored in the backend storage, rather than dozens of versions with different resolutions. The frontend CDN is configured with multiple graphic processing units (GPUs) configured to rescale the full resolution image in real-time at the time of delivery to the client device. By resealing images on the fly at the edge of the cloud-based resources, the system reduces storage costs while minimizing any negative impact on latency.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2013Publication date: September 18, 2014Inventor: Jon Jenkins

Publication number: 20050267792Abstract: A method for managing the use of one or more laboratories is provided. Each of the laboratories comprises one or more workbenches used by a plurality of users. The method includes receiving one or more requests for use of one of the workbenches and assigning the requested workbenches based on predetermined criteria. The method further comprises receiving project data regarding a project being conducted on the workbench, the project data including comments entered by the user of the workbench, and storing the project data in a database.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 28, 2004Publication date: December 1, 2005Inventors: Sumit Mehrotra, Jon Jenkins

Patent number: 6694590Abstract: A method for ensuring the proper setup position of an automotive-type automatic transmission gear selector (shifter). The present invention utilizes a setting tool having an arcuate configuration. The setting tool may be inserted through a gear selector lever of a gear selector assembly, and rotated to provide for a slight biasing of the gear selector lever in a predetermined direction. The method is especially applicable to the setup of a gear selector, wherein the connector coupling the gear selector lever to the transmission is attached using a threaded fastener. The bias imparted by the setting tool counteracts the movement of the gear selector lever produced by the torque applied during tightening of the fastener.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2002Date of Patent: February 24, 2004Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Jon Jenkins
