  • Patent number: 8287275
Abstract: A mouthpiece for forming custom dental trays intraorally having a sheet of low-melting custom tray material sealingly containing a moldable filler. The mouthpiece may also have flexible walls along the facial-buccal or lingual sides for additional support. The mouthpiece can form custom trays for both arches simultaneously, or for a single arch. In typical use, the mouthpiece is heated, opposing arches of teeth forcefully bite into the tray material and contained filler, thereby molding the tray material to fit the teeth, the tray material is cooled, the mouthpiece is removed from the teeth, and excess tray material is trimmed away to form trays for both arches.

  • Publication number: 20050072858
Abstract: Sensors (18, 20 and 22) and an interactive display (12) are added to an airless gas powered line striping machine (10) to provide the operator with a variety of information about the operating parameters. In addition to the pressure sensor/transducer (14) required to control the pressure through a clutch, the system includes a sensor (reed switch in the preferred embodiment) (18) to count pump strokes or drive revolutions, a sensor (22) to monitor when the gun trigger is activated and a sensor (26) to monitor wheel rotation (hall effect sensor detecting pulses from gear mounted on wheel in the preferred embodiment). A digital display (12) is included to read out measured and calculated values.

  • Publication number: 20050001068
Abstract: A hand trigger (16) is pivotally mounted on the handlebar (12) of the striper (14). A pair of selectors (26) are pivotally mounted at the trigger pivot points. The selectors (26) are made from a spring or spring-like steel, which allows the selectors (26) to springingly deform for gun selection and adjustment yet return to their original position and shape. This allows delayed gun activation, disabling of one or both guns from the trigger (16) and functioning as a one-handed gun selector.

  • Patent number: 5665910
Abstract: A means of accurately measuring farm chemical during its application, through the use of load cell and a means of mounting this load cell to a sprayer apparatus is disclosed. The measurement of the chemical is accomplished by the use of a load cell which is mounted in a position below a keg of liquid farm chemical. The load cell measures the weight of the chemical keg and the liquid chemical contained therein. By knowing the specific gravity of the chemical being used and the weight of the keg itself, the operator can accurately compute the volume of chemical which has passed through the sprayer system and the rate of that passage. This gives the operator an accurate measure of the amount of the liquid chemical applied to each acre of crop land.
