Abstract: The technology relates to determining a driver for a trip having a start time within a predetermined time period. A trip itinerary and a list of available drivers for a first client's trip may be received by one or more processors. The list of available drivers may each include a respective driver status indicating each trip scheduled for the driver for the predetermined time period. The one or more processors may remove one or more drivers from the list of available drivers to obtain a reduced list of available drivers based on the respective driver status of each available driver. A driver from the reduced list of available drivers may be selected by the one or more processors based on the reduced list of available drivers and the trip itinerary for the first client's trip.
