  • Patent number: 12686318
Abstract: A self-adjusting tie down for securing a tire on a wheel to a platform having first and second loops attached thereto includes a first ring and a second ring spaced from the first ring. A tread engaging strap is configured to engage the tread surface of the tire, the tread strap being attached to the first ring proximate a first end and positioned through the second ring, where the tread engaging strap includes a length adjusting mechanism attached to a second end and a first securing mechanism configured to engage the first loop attached to the platform. The tie down includes first and second sidewall engaging straps configured to engage the left and right sidewalls of the tire, each of the first and second sidewall engaging straps attached to the second ring proximate a first and positioned through the first ring, each of the first and second sidewall engaging straps comprising a second securing mechanism configured to engage the second loop attached to the platform.

  • Publication number: 20250042703
Abstract: A monolithic, polymer ramp for elevating a tire of a vehicle from ground level to an elevated position includes a slanted portion having a slanted surface extending from a front end, the slanted surface configured to engage the tire and elevate the tire to the elevated position. The ramp includes a wheel supporting portion having a substantially flat surface extending from the slanted surface and a first chock molded therein proximate a back end, wherein the slanted surface and the substantially flat surface comprise a plurality of spaced apart rows of spaced apart columns wherein the spaced apart columns extend from apertures in the slanted surface and the substantially flat surface and terminate at a distal end that is proximately even with the front end.

  • Publication number: 20240409344
Abstract: A traction ladder is configured to engage a ramp engaging a platform of a transportation vehicle or accessory where the traction ladder includes a first side rail having a first proximal end configured to engage the ground and a first distal end configured to engage a crossbar of the ramp, and a second side rail having a second proximal end configured to engage the ground and a second distal end configured to engage a crossbar of the ramp. The traction ladder includes a plurality of crossbars spaced from each other, each cross bar is pivotally attached to the first side rail at a first pivot and pivotally attached to the second side rail at a second pivot. The traction ladder is configured to be positioned in a first position by pivoting the first and second sider rails about the first and second pivots such that the plurality of traction ladder crossbars are substantially orthogonal to the first and second side rails.

  • Publication number: 20240375437
Abstract: A recovery board for providing traction to a tire or track on a vehicle includes a main body having a leading edge and a trailing edge along a direction of travel wherein a distance between the leading edge and the trailing edge defines a length of the main body. The main body includes a top surface configured to engage the wheel or track of the vehicle having spaced apart rows of exterior gripping features and an interior row of gripping features between the spaced apart rows of exterior gripping features. Upper surfaces of the spaced apart rows of exterior gripping features are at a higher elevation relative to upper surfaces of the interior row of gripping features in a direction transverse to a direction of travel along the length of the main body such that an interior valley is formed between the spaced apart rows of exterior gripping features.
