  • Publication number: 20130264320
Abstract: A consumable component for a thermal processing torch is provided. The consumable component includes a consumable component body and a signal device located on or within the consumable component body for transmitting a signal associated with the consumable component. The signal can be independent of a detectable physical characteristic of the consumable component.

  • Publication number: 20120142415
Abstract: A video show is recorded in a tangible medium for distribution and presentation to an audience. The video show comprises video portions of a player based on a real person wearing a head mounted display through which the real person sees a virtual reality object with which the real person attempts to interact while moving within a real environment. The video show also comprises generated virtual video portions of the virtual reality object within a virtual reality environment and depicting any action of the virtual reality object in response to attempts by the real person to interact with the virtual reality object, at least a portion of the virtual reality environment corresponding to the real environment.

  • Publication number: 20110049195
Abstract: A dispensing closure assembly for a drink container. The assembly has an occludable nozzle able to close a dispensing path way when the nozzle is in one condition relative to an occlusion providing member of the assembly, and to open a dispensing pathway when the nozzle is in a second condition relative to the occlusion providing member. The nozzle is movable from the raised non occluded open and dispensing condition to the lowered occluded non-dispensing closed condition against a bias. The nozzle is releasably latchable in the closed condition. The release involves a rotation of one part of the assembly relative to another to allow axial movement of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 7832600
Abstract: In another aspect the invention is a (drink bottle or container) closure assembly as a unit having an occlusion region providing first component, the first component being adapted for a closing engagement with a complementary bottle or container, and having a liquid passageway to be open from the bottle or container to an outlet below at least part of the occlusion region, as a second component, a spout or top with a dispensing outlet capable of being occluded by the occlusion region to provide a substantially liquid tight-environment from an engaged liquid bearing bottle or container unless the second component rises from its dispensing outlet occluding condition, and a third component, rotation of which controls the rise and fall of the second component relative to the occlusion region.

  • Publication number: 20080006614
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a gas supply to a plasma arc torch uses a proportional control solenoid valve positioned adjacent the torch to manipulate the gas flow to the torch, thereby extending electrode life during arc transfer and shutdown. Swirl ring design can be simplified and gas supply and distribution systems become less complicated. The invention also allows manipulation of shield gas flow to reduce divot formation when making interior cuts. The system can be controlled with a digital signal processor utilizing a feedback loop from a sensor.

  • Publication number: 20070181540
Abstract: Controlling the flow of a secondary gas reduces entrainment of the secondary gas and a plasma gas that forms a plasma arc in a plasma arc torch system. Reducing entrainment of the secondary gas and the plasma gas that forms the plasma arc improves the quality of cuts made with the plasma arc torch.
