  • Publication number: 20190281332
Abstract: According to one implementation, an electronic program guide (EPG) provisioning system includes a computing platform having a hardware processor and a system memory storing a software code. The hardware processor executes the software code to receive traffic data for programming content included in a programming content stream, extract programming content metadata describing the programming content from the traffic data, and obtain supplemental metadata further describing the programming content. In addition, the hardware processor executes the software code to enrich the programming content metadata using the supplemental metadata to produce an enhanced programming content metadata, conform the enhanced programming content metadata to each of multiple formats corresponding respectively to EPG providers for the programming content stream, and distribute the enhanced programming content metadata to the EPG providers in real-time with respect to receiving the traffic data.

  • Patent number: 10264292
Abstract: There is provided an electronic program guide (EPG) provisioning system that receives traffic data for programming content included in a programming content stream, extracts programming content metadata describing the programming content from the traffic data, and obtains supplemental metadata further describing the programming content. The EPG system further enriches the programming content metadata using the supplemental metadata to produce an enhanced programming content metadata, conforms the enhanced programming content metadata to each of multiple formats corresponding respectively to EPG providers for the programming content stream, and then distributes the enhanced programming content metadata to the EPG providers in real-time with respect to receiving the traffic data.

  • Publication number: 20170180435
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for providing custom digital broadcast video streams. Embodiments include receiving, at a content streaming server, a first video stream to transmit to a client device. A user profile corresponding to a current session on the client device is determined. One or more custom video modifications to apply to the first video stream are also determined, based on the determined user profile. Embodiments apply the determined one or more custom video modifications to the first video stream to create a modified video stream. The modified video stream is then transmitted to the client device.
