  • Publication number: 20240032593
Abstract: An aerosol generating device includes a main body configured to receive an aerosol generating article. The main body includes an outer casing, an inner casing (20), and an inner cover. The inner cover is secured to a periphery of the inner casing to define a space between the inner surface of the inner cover and an inner surface of the inner casing. The aerosol generating device further includes an outer cover positioned over the inner cover and having an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface of the outer casing and the outer surface of the outer cover define an external surface of the aerosol generating device, and a periphery of the outer cover contacts a periphery of the outer casing so that the outer surface of the outer cover lies substantially flush with the outer surface of the outer casing to define a continuous external surface.

  • Publication number: 20220361573
Abstract: An aerosol generation device comprises a chamber, a housing and a cover. The chamber is adapted to receive a consumable. The housing contains the chamber and comprises an opening through which the consumable can be removed from the chamber. The cover is configured to move between an open position where the opening of the housing is exposed and a closed position where the opening of the housing is closed. The aerosol generation device is adapted to generate an inhalable vapor from the consumable. The cover comprises one or more dislodging elements adapted to dislodge the consumable such that, when the cover moves from the closed position to the open position: an attachment is weakened between the chamber and the consumable, and the consumable is partially ejected from the chamber without becoming attached to the cover.

  • Publication number: 20220202088
Abstract: An aerosol generation device has a heating chamber into which an aerosol substrate is insertable for being heated to generate an aerosol. The heating chamber is housed in a casing and an aperture is provided, through which the aerosol substrate is insertable into the heating chamber, e.g. through an open end of the heating chamber. Insulation is disposed between the heating chamber and the casing and a thermal bridge is arranged to dissipate heat from the heating chamber to the casing, for example in the vicinity of the aperture or from the open end of the heating chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220142247
Abstract: An aerosol generation device has a body, a closure, and a resilient element. The body has an aperture through which an aerosol substrate is receivable. The closure is moveable relative to the aperture between a closed position in which the closure covers the aperture and an open position in which the aperture is substantially unobstructed by the closure. The resilient element is arranged so as to bias the closure towards the closed position from a first range of positions between the closed position and the open position and to bias the closure towards the open position from a second range of positions between the closed position and the open position. The first range of positions of the closure is closer to the closed position than the second range of positions. The second range of positions of the closure is closer to the open position than the first range of positions.

  • Publication number: 20220142250
Abstract: An aerosol generation device has a body and a closure. The body has an aperture through which an aerosol substrate is receivable into the aerosol generation device. The closure is moveable relative to the aperture between a closed position in which the closure covers the aperture and an open position in which the aperture is substantially unobstructed by the closure; the closure is stable in each of the closed position and the open position. The closure is further moveable from the open position to an activation position. At the activation position, the aerosol generation device is operable to initiate an activation signal.

  • Publication number: 20060036893
Abstract: A system is disclosed and claimed for debugging Ethernet adapters and Ethernet adapter device drivers by automatically monitoring Ethernet adapter functionality and automatically turning on debug traces upon detecting incorrect Ethernet adapter functionality. An embodiment maintains a counter representing the number of incorrect Ethernet adapter functionality events minus the number of correct Ethernet adapter functionality events. If the counter reaches a threshold value, the Ethernet adapter device driver automatically enables debug traces for storing functionality information to a trace table.
