Abstract: Systems and methods for modifying customer attention levels at purchase transaction terminals based on expressions are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method includes acquiring one or more images of a person at a purchase transaction terminal. The method also includes analyzing the image(s) to determine an expression of the person. Further, the method includes determining whether the determined expression matches a predetermined expression. The method also includes modifying a customer attention level associated with the purchase transaction terminal in response to determining that the determined expression matches the predetermined expression.
