  • Patent number: 8162180
Abstract: A collapsible container for storing, transporting, and dispensing liquids which includes a generally rectangular shaped box, a spout which is fluidly interconnected to the box, a pouring spout member which is attachable to the spout, a handle, and a support member which maintains the position of the spout relative to the box. The pouring spout member may form a non-releasable connection with the spout to allow for single use of the container. The container may be configured such that, when viewed in lateral cross section and when viewed in longitudinal cross section, the container includes a continuous band of material surrounding the interior volume of the container that is maintained during storage, expansion, and use.

  • Publication number: 20040074921
Abstract: A system and method provide for the dispensing of a consumable product according to product information provided with the product. The system may include a controller and an interface device configured to read a memory device included with the consumable product. Based on the product data read from the memory device the controller generates at least one control signal transmittable to a dispenser which in turn dispenses the consumable product in a desired manner.

  • Publication number: 20040049978
Abstract: A system and method that provides for injection control of a liquid additive in a liquid dispensation system. Included as part of the system is a controller device configured to generate one set of control signals for initiating and terminating liquid dispensation to one or more areas while simultaneously generating at least one second control signal which controls the injection rate of a liquid additive to the liquid being dispense. The liquid dispensation rate may be controlled according to a number of criteria, which are received from an external source from the controller or retrieved from an internal memory. The system may be further configured such that the dispensation rate is modified according to a detected condition.

  • Patent number: 6314979
Abstract: An inventive apparatus and method is disclosed for the automatic injection of a liquid additive (e.g., liquid fertilizer, liquid herbicide, liquid pesticide, liquid fungicide, a wetting agent solution or a mixture thereof) into a horticultural liquid dispensation system (e.g., a conventional sprinkler system). The invention can be readily packaged/installed with conventional watering systems or readily implemented with existing, installed watering systems. In one arrangement, the invention includes a programmable controller and an injection assembly comprising at least one solenoid valve and an injector. The controller senses which of a plurality of watering zones is currently being watered, and effects the transmission of electrical pulses to the solenoid valve. Such pulses cause the valve to open/close and thereby produce stroking of a spring-loaded piston within the injector. As a result, a predetermined amount, or “slug”, of liquid additive is injected into the watering system on each stroke.
