Patent number: 7782905Abstract: A mechanism for performing remote direct memory access (RDMA) operations between a first server and a second server. The apparatus includes a packet parser and a protocol engine. The packet parser processes a TCP segment within an arriving network frame, where the packet parser performs one or more speculative CRC checks according to an upper layer protocol (ULP), and where the one or more speculative CRC checks are performed concurrent with arrival of the network frame. The protocol engine is coupled to the packet parser. The protocol engine receives results of the one or more speculative CRC checks, and selectively employs the results for validation of a framed protocol data unit (FPDU) according to the ULP.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2006Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: Intel-NE, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth G. Publication number: 20050064242Abstract: A magnetic article has a magnetic layer having magnetized particles dispersed in a natural or synthetic resin binder and an adjacent high-permeability layer having high-permeability particles dispersed in a natural or synthetic resin binder. The magnetic article may be prepared by co-extruding a mixture of magnetizable particles in a binder and high-permeability particles in a binder through a single die to produce an integral gradient function article having a region of high concentration of magnetizable particles adjacent to one surface of the article and a region of high concentration of the high-permeability particles adjacent to another surface of the article, and magnetizing at least a portion of the magnetizable particles.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2004Publication date: March 24, 2005Inventors: Jon Schneider, Orval Ogden

Patent number: 4131862Abstract: A phase lock loop operable with narrow band filtering characteristics in-lock and wideband acquisition characteristics when an out-of-lock condition is detected. The phase lock loop comprises a phase detector coupled to a differential amplifier to which a step ramp voltage is also coupled when an a.c. signal, which indicates an out-of-lock condition, is coupled from the phase detector to an out-of-lock detector. The a.c. signal from the phase detector also causes a switch means to short out a narrow band filter which is serially coupled with a wideband filter between the differential amplifier and a voltage controlled oscillator. The frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator is caused to vary by the a.c. signal until lock-in is achieved at which time, the out-of-lock detector stops and holds the step ramp voltage at the value required to achieve lock and the switch means reintroduces the narrow band filter to the loop.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1977Date of Patent: December 26, 1978Assignee: Sperry Rand CorporationInventors: Stanley H.
