  • Patent number: 7689680
Abstract: A method and apparatus for defining, creating, and applying checks to multiple computers simultaneously is disclosed. In a network comprised of multiple computers capable of being linked together, a number of parameters to be monitored are defined. Then a number of checks corresponding to the one or more defined parameters are created. Each check is a set of computer executable instructions to monitor a defined parameter of the one or more defined parameters. After the checks are created, one or more checksuites that each include two or more of the created checks may be created. One or more checksuites may be designated for deployment and applied to one or more of the multiple network computers.

  • Publication number: 20090112612
Abstract: A computer implemented method for approving a board paper for distribution that includes the following steps in order: A. The Board Document is received and converted to a digital document and allocated a first visual indicia; B. The digital document is reviewed by a reviewer; C. If the digital document is acceptable it is allocated a second visual indicia and step L is undertaken. If the digital document is not acceptable in its present form it is allocated a third visual indicia and step D is undertaken; D. The digital document is amended by the originator of the Board Document; E. Step C is repeated; L. If any further reviews are necessary then step M is undertaken, if no further reviews are necessary then step W is undertaken; M. The digital document is reviewed by a further reviewer, if the digital document is acceptable to the further reviewer it is allocated a further visual indicia and step N is undertaken, if the digital document is not acceptable and amendment is possible step D is repeated; N.

  • Publication number: 20090101703
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for a board of directors to vote on a board document that includes the following steps in order: A. an administrator uploads a board document for consideration onto a processing centre and configures an associated voting module; B. the administrator creates, or reuses an existing, director voting account associated with each director and uploads this to the processing centre; said voting account includes an authenticated graphical indicia for that director; C. the administrator configures the processing centre to allow access to the board document and associated voting module; D. the administrator supplies each director with login details for their voting account; E. each director logs in to their voting account and reviews the board document; H. each director logs into their voting account and casts a non rescindable vote relating to the board document, and appends their graphical indicia to that vote.

  • Publication number: 20050285090
Abstract: A stabilizing jack (10) for securement to the underside of a recreational vehicle. The jack includes a channel frame (25) formed with longitudinal trunnion flanges. A longitudinal screw (50) is rotatably mounted in the channel and drives a trunnion (38) that rides between the trunnion flanges (22a, 22b). A support leg (30) is rotatably connected to the trunnion. Rotation of the screw drives the trunnion towards an outboard end of the jack and lowers the support leg to its supporting position.

  • Publication number: 20050002972
Abstract: A process of making D-panthenyl triacetate which includes reacting D-panthenol with acetic anhydride in the presence of the catalyst polymer bound dimethylaminopyridine to form an exothermic mixture. The so-produced acetic acid, and the catalyst are removed from the exothermic mixture which is then neutralized with sodium hydroxide. Sodium acetate in the form of a solid is removed by filtration. The D-panthenyl triacetate is useful in cosmetic compositions.

  • Patent number: 6798374
Abstract: Disclosed is a Doppler shifted radar apparatus for correct target identification with respect to surveillance of moving vehicles. More particularly, an improved radar detection system using two or more continuously transmitted frequencies is used. The multiple frequencies are directed toward target vehicles whereby the phase difference of the two or more reflected Doppler signals is calculated and subsequently used to accurately determine a target range, thereby displaying the closest vehicle and closest vehicle speed. Vehicle speed is determined with use of the standard Doppler frequency shift. The next closest and/or next faster vehicle speed can also be easily determined.

  • Publication number: 20040182902
Abstract: A sanitizing hairdresser's implement holder that enables a hairdresser to easily hold a plurality of implements on his or her body when cutting hair. The holder includes a holster with a plurality of comb and scissor pockets, each designed to receive a vertically oriented comb or scissor, respectively. Located inside some or all of the pockets is a removable sleeve made of plastic or paper. The sleeves are designed to have an outer shape that matches the general shape of the implement. When the sleeve is used with a scissors pocket, it is conical with a wide top opening so that the pair of scissors are held in a vertical alignment when placed therein. The sleeves are may be imbedded or soak with an antimicrobial agent that disinfects the implement when placed into the sleeve after each use.
