  • Publication number: 20040244118
Abstract: A combination swivel tool comprises an elongated tool member having first and second tool end portions located within a generally u-shaped housing. The elongated tool member defines a centrally located hole for receiving a swivel pin wherein the generally u-shaped housing member defining a plurality of swivel pin holes engages the elongated tool member when the swivel pin is inserted through the centrally located hole. The location and placement of the swivel pin allows the elongated tool member to swivel 360 degrees within the u-shaped housing. A handle member pivotally connected to the u-shaped housing member is provided for locking engagement of the elongated tool member within the u-shaped housing member exposing either the first or second tool end portions for use.

  • Patent number: 6145151
Abstract: A brush handle that provides an ergonomic grip to improve the manipulation and reduce the fatigue of the use of the brush. The brush handle provides a series of fitted control surfaces that allow a user to grip the brush handle in a comfortable and precise manner. These control surfaces are integrally formed on the brush handle on opposing surfaces for use by both right-handed and left-handed users. In one preferred embodiment, the brush handle is used for paint brushes. The brush handle also includes a protective mechanism to prevent paint from dripping or flowing onto the brush handle during use. The brush also provides a dip line to indicate the appropriate level of dipping the brush into a paint source.

  • Patent number: 6095328
Abstract: A carrying case for binoculars which protects the binoculars during use without interfering with the user's operation of the binoculars. The carrying case comprises a tubular-shaped main body formed from a stretchable and resilient material which is normally undersized in relation to the binoculars, whereby the main body undergoes expansion upon insertion of the binoculars and surrounds the binoculars in snug-fitting relation. The main body has openings at opposite ends thereof for exposing the lenses of the binoculars during use, and an aperture for exposing a focus adjustment member during use. Each of the openings and the aperture contains removable closures for protecting the lenses and the focus adjustment member when the binoculars are not in use. Further, the resilient material of the main body facilitates the gripping and holding of the binoculars while in use.

  • Patent number: 6088174
Abstract: A lens cap apparatus for an optical instrument adapted to shield a user's eyes from incident light from any direction. The lens cap apparatus is formed from an annular base with a pivotally connected lid and a connecting assembly for releasably securing the base to a cap-receiving end of a tubular member which houses a lens in an optical instrument. The connecting assembly permits rotation through 360.degree. of the base and its pivotally connected lid in relation to the cap-receiving end of the optical instrument. This 360.degree. rotation coupled with a greater than 180.degree. pivotal movement of the lid in relation to the base gives the user maximum adjustability to shield the user's eyes from incident light from all possible angles. Additionally, the greater than 180.degree. movement of the lid in relation to the base allows the user to adjust the lens cap apparatus to compensate for such variables as the width and shape of the user's head and can be used in conjunction with eye glasses.
