  • Patent number: 11954669
Abstract: Authentication method and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

  • Publication number: 20240110701
Abstract: Systems and methods for remotely monitoring the amount of fuel in one or more fuel tanks are disclosed. A fuel monitoring device includes a sensor configured to monitor the operation of a valve coupled to an output of a fuel tank and a network and communication system configured to receive data from the sensor related to the operation of the valve and establish communication with one or more remote systems via a communications network. The fuel monitoring device communicates the data related to the operation of the sensor to a remote server system via the communications network. Based on the data received from the fuel monitoring device and one or more remote systems, the remote server system can determine the amount of fuel remaining in the tank, and can predict when the tank will require additional fuel.

Abstract: A respiratory assistance system can provide high flow therapy to patients. The respiratory assistance system can include a patient interface that can deliver a gas flow to a patient and a gas source that can drive the gas flow towards the patient interface at an operating flow rate. The system can include a controller for controlling the operating flow rate of the gas. The controller can apply multiple test flow rate values in a range as the operating flow rate. For each of the test flow rate values, the controller can measure a patient parameter. The controller can determine a new flow rate value based on the measured patient parameters. Patient parameters can include respiration rate, work of breathing, or any other parameters related to the respiratory circuit.

  • Publication number: 20240078916
Abstract: Aerial vehicles are assigned to routes within a transportation network based on a state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health for the aerial vehicle. Such aspects can be modeled based on one or more statistical models and/or machine-learned models, among other examples. As another example, an energy budget is used to ensure that the state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health of the aerial vehicle during and/or after traveling the route remains within the energy budget. A payload is assigned to a route and an associated aerial vehicle, thereby generating an itinerary. In examples, the itinerary is validated by the aerial vehicle to ensure that the aerial vehicle is capable of traveling the route with the payload. In examples where the aerial vehicle rejects the itinerary, the itinerary is assigned to another aerial vehicle and a new itinerary is identified for the aerial vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230304043
Abstract: Devices and methods are presented for delivery of various macrostructures into cells, such as depleted cells as well as methods of generating engineered cells using said devices and methods. Cells are placed on a porous membrane. A force is applied by a configurable actuator to a deformable fluid reservoir that generates an applied pressure to macrostructures in a solution, causing the macrostructures to pass through the porous membrane and triggering uptake of at least some of the macrostructures into the cells to form transfected cells. Said devices and methods may be used in a process to replace defective endogenous mtDNA with corrected mtDNA to generate cellular-based therapeutics for administration to a patient. The customizable actuator may be configured with parameters to optimize efficiency for a given cell type and material to be transfected. Machine learning techniques also may be utilized to optimize transfection parameters.
