  • Patent number: 11726967
Abstract: A versioned file storage system (VFS) and method for operating and using the same is disclosed. In an aspect, a mechanism is provided wherein a first VFS interface unit coupling the VFS to a local data storage system is replaced with a second VFS interface unit in a coordinated procedure for taking the first unit offline, making a reliable snapshot of its data and cache structure in the VFS, and loading the same data and cache structure into the second VFS interface brought online. The first and second VFS interfaces transfer the necessary data to achieve the switch through respective side-loading daemons running in each interface. Clients in the local data storage system experience minimal interruption of services in the VFS.

  • Publication number: 20210401353
Abstract: A method of determining that an absence of suspicion of neurological injury is indicated in a subject is disclosed. The method involves prompting the subject to engage in three or more of the following neurological assessments: a) Reading Saccades, b) Near/far accommodation using Hart charts of different font sizes; c) Brock string, d) Maddox rod, e) closed-eye turns, f) Near Point of Convergence, and g) PERRLA with consensual reflex. The data from the neurological assessments is used to determine that an absence of suspicion of neurological injury is indicated in the subject.

  • Patent number: 11063888
Abstract: Various embodiments provide a commenting system for multiple users to provide and share comments to shared documents. For example, users can share a web link to a collection of content items, such as documents, spreadsheets, photos, and any other media, with other users stored in an online content management system. The commenting system can provide a comment interface displayable alongside a respective content item and the comments can be saved for each user and the content item with associated comments can be synced across the multiple users. The comments can scroll independently of the content in a content item or the comments can be linked to a location therein and the scrolling of the comments can be linked to the scrolling of the content item such that corresponding comments are displayed.

For example, users can share a web link to a collection of content items, such as documents, spreadsheets, photos, and any other media, with other users stored in an online content management system. To enable such functionality, the online content management system can expose an application programming interface to enable third-party service providers to develop and attach a comment interface to content items. Accordingly, such a commenting system can provide a comment interface for concurrent display alongside a respective content item in which users can provide comments to shared content items or to use as notes for their personal content items.

  • Patent number: 9522330
Abstract: A method for providing three-dimensional audio is provided. The method includes receiving a depth map imaging a scene from a depth camera and recognizing a human subject present in the scene. The human subject is modeled with a virtual skeleton comprising a plurality of joints defined with a three-dimensional position. A world space ear position of the human subject is determined based on the virtual skeleton. Furthermore, a target world space ear position of the human subject is determined. The target world space ear position is the world space position where a desired audio effect can be produced via an acoustic transducer array. The method further includes outputting a notification representing a spatial relationship between the world space ear position and the target world space ear position.

  • Patent number: 9418219
Abstract: An inter-process messaging security management may be provided. A message comprising an operation to be performed may be sent from a process operating in a process chamber to a second process operating in another chamber. Before the message is allowed to be delivered, the validity of the operation contained in the message may be verified and a security policy may be examined to determine whether the message is permitted to be sent from the first process to the second process. If the security policy permits the second process to execute the operation requested by the first process, the message may be delivered to the second process. If the operation is not permitted, the message may not be delivered and an error message may be returned to the first process.

  • Patent number: 8640264
Abstract: By adding a second smaller bill under the main bill of a cap and creating a gap from the front to the back between the two bills, the two bills create a curved shape that acts like an airfoil and allows the free flow of air over a wearer's forehead, inducing a cooling effect. Besides the benefit of a cooling effect, the appearance of the hat is such that an observer looking at someone wearing it would not be able to tell there was anything overtly different about the design.

  • Publication number: 20130070921
Abstract: A method functions to resolve conflicts between wireless digital telephony and traditional analog telephony when an automatic telephone number dialer is concurrently used in a gateway. The method acts to prioritize telephone calls that operate using one telephone line when a single analog telephone line interfaces with an automatic telephone dialer and an analog telephone set in a system that also operates with a wireless digital telephone interface. The method includes detecting if an active call is present and determines if the telephone number being dialed is of higher priority than the active call. The highest priority call is placed or preserved according to the highest priority regardless of the source of the call in the system.
