Abstract: A device may include a first set of electrodes; a second set of electrodes transversely oriented from the first set of electrodes; and a processor and memory, where the memory has programmed instructions to cause the processor, when executed to: activate a first portion of electrodes in the first set, measure a first resulting capacitance from activating the first portion of electrodes with at least some electrodes of the second set, activate a second portion of electrodes in the second set, and measure a second resulting capacitance from activating the second portion of electrodes with at least some electrodes of the first set.

Abstract: A system for multiple brakes intelligently controlled by a single brake input on a personal mobility vehicle. By determining a front and rear brake differential based on the position and weight of the rider as well as the environmental and vehicle conditions, the system may reduce the risk of the vehicle skidding or tipping due to over-braking. In some embodiments, a rider may use a single brake lever to indicate a desire to brake and the system may make determinations about how to apply a combination of mechanical and electrical brakes to front and back wheels. By applying different braking systems based on a combination of controls and sensors, the system may improve user experience and user safety, especially for inexperienced riders.

The first and second VFS interfaces transfer the necessary data to achieve the switch through respective side-loading daemons running in each interface. Clients in the local data storage system experience minimal interruption of services in the VFS.

Abstract: A method of determining that an absence of suspicion of neurological injury is indicated in a subject is disclosed. The method involves prompting the subject to engage in three or more of the following neurological assessments: a) Reading Saccades, b) Near/far accommodation using Hart charts of different font sizes; c) Brock string, d) Maddox rod, e) closed-eye turns, f) Near Point of Convergence, and g) PERRLA with consensual reflex. The data from the neurological assessments is used to determine that an absence of suspicion of neurological injury is indicated in the subject.

A world space ear position of the human subject is determined based on the virtual skeleton. Furthermore, a target world space ear position of the human subject is determined. The target world space ear position is the world space position where a desired audio effect can be produced via an acoustic transducer array. The method further includes outputting a notification representing a spatial relationship between the world space ear position and the target world space ear position.

Abstract: A method functions to resolve conflicts between wireless digital telephony and traditional analog telephony when an automatic telephone number dialer is concurrently used in a gateway. The method acts to prioritize telephone calls that operate using one telephone line when a single analog telephone line interfaces with an automatic telephone dialer and an analog telephone set in a system that also operates with a wireless digital telephone interface. The method includes detecting if an active call is present and determines if the telephone number being dialed is of higher priority than the active call. The highest priority call is placed or preserved according to the highest priority regardless of the source of the call in the system.
