  • Patent number: 10117251
Abstract: Wireless communication apparatus is disclosed having a first base station providing an access point to a first communications network and second base station providing an access point to a second communication network. The first base station communicates wirelessly with a first access terminal using a first carrier at a first frequency and having a first bandwidth, and the second base station communicates wirelessly with a second access terminal using a set of carriers at respective different frequencies within a second frequency band, which has a second bandwidth larger than the first bandwidth and the first frequency is within the second frequency band. The second base station inhibits transmission of data by the second base station to the second access terminal using a subset of carriers having frequencies within the first bandwidth of the first frequency.

  • Publication number: 20150034697
Abstract: A surgical device is described herein that can be used to fire different types and sizes of disposable loading units. In a preferred embodiment, the device applies parallel rows of surgical fasteners to body tissue and concomitantly forms an incision between the rows of staples during an endoscopic or laparoscopic surgical procedure. The device can be utilized with disposable loading units configured to apply linear rows of staples measuring from about 15 mm in length to about 60 mm in length and can be used to fire disposable loading units containing surgical clips and individual staples.

  • Patent number: 8919746
Abstract: A humidifier for a fuel cell system comprises a stack of thin plates having planar sealing surfaces at their edges. A water permeable membrane is provided between each pair of plates. Each plate defines a gas flow passage along its top and bottom surfaces, with an inlet and outlet defined along edges of the plate, and a flow field extending between the inlet and outlet openings. Inlet and outlet passages connect the inlet and outlet openings to the flow field, and the planar sealing surfaces on both sides of the plate include bridging portions which extend across the inlet and outlet passages. Support structures are provided throughout the flow field and the inlet and outlet passages to support the membrane and diffusion medium layer(s). The support structures may optionally be connected together by webs having holes for flow distribution between the top and bottom of each plate.
