Abstract: A system and method for the analysis of one or more patient encounters from one or more healthcare related information systems of a healthcare organization are disclosed. The system and method include a data processing system, which provides a graphical user interface which accepts a query regarding the patient encounters, which receives data in response to the query from the one or more healthcare related information systems about a plurality of pre-selected objects concerning the one or more patient encounters, and which arranges the data according to a data model which sets relations between the pre-selected objects. The system and method also employ the relations between the pre-selected objects to provide a report to the accepted query, and output the report.
