  • Publication number: 20260177667
Abstract: A surveying instrument is provided. The surveying instrument comprises a distance measurement unit and a first optical receiver. The distance measurement unit comprises a transmitter and a detector. The transmitter is configured to emit light via a first optical path. The detector is configured to receive light via the first optical path. The first optical receiver is adapted to receive light via a second optical path. The first optical path includes a front lens, a beam splitting unit, and at least one first focus adjusting element. The at least one first focus adjusting element is configured to adjust a focus of the distance measurement unit. The second optical path includes the front lens, the beam splitting unit and at least one second focus adjusting element. The at least one second focus adjusting element is configured to adjust a focus of the first optical receiver. The beam splitting unit is configured to split the first optical path from the second optical path.

  • Publication number: 20260153333
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a surveying instrument. The surveying instrument comprises a center unit comprising an optical device and a front lens. The optical device is arranged to emit and/or receive light through the front lens along an optical axis (OA) of the center unit. The surveying instrument further comprises an alidade on which the center unit is rotatably arranged about a first axis (A1). The alidade comprises a tilt sensor arranged along a second axis (A2). The second axis is orthogonal to the first axis. The alidade further comprises an optical arrangement arranged to form an optical path from a first side of the alidade to an aperture arranged along the second axis at a second side of the alidade. The optical path bypasses the tilt sensor.

  • Publication number: 20250189309
Abstract: The present inventive concept relates to a target for use in surveying applications, said target comprising: a base element having a central axis, a reflector for reflecting light beams being incident on said target, said reflector including a plurality of retroreflectors arranged around said central axis to cover an angular area of substantially 360 degrees, wherein said reflector has an outer circumference and an inner circumference as defined by the arrangement of the retroreflectors and wherein a retroreflector has a first side located at the outer circumference and a second side located at the inner circumference; and a plurality of light emitting elements providing a plurality of apparent light sources arranged around said central axis, wherein an apparent light source is positioned within the inner circumference of the reflector for emitting light in a direction away from the central axis of the base element.
