  • Publication number: 20250065852
Abstract: A method of determining actuator brake torque limits for a plurality of actuators, wherein each actuator is operable to apply a brake torque on a wheel of a vehicle, the method comprising determining, for each actuator, an actuator brake torque capability range based on an actuator specific torque capacity and a current operational state of the actuator; determining, for each wheel of the vehicle, a road condition brake torque capability range based on an estimated lateral wheel force acting on the wheel, an estimated friction between a tire surface of the wheel and a road surface, and a vertical wheel force acting on the wheel; and determining, for each actuator, an upper actuator brake torque limit and a lower actuator brake torque limit based on the actuator brake torque capability range and the road condition brake torque capability range.

Self-synchronizing yarn tension control includes a yarn tension sensor, a yarn brake, and a controller configured to control the system. The controller includes one or more processors and one or more memory devices. The memory devices configured to store the more memory devices configured to store one or more tension pulses, store one or more tension thresholds, and store instructions that when executed by the processors cause the processors to perform operations. The operations include obtaining a first yarn tension value and selectively operating the yarn brake based on the tension pulses. • Publication number: 20240409357
Abstract: A self-synchronizing yarn tension control system is provided. Self-synchronizing yarn tension control includes a yarn brake, a yarn movement sensor, a yarn tension sensor, a yarn brake, and a controller configured to control the system. The controller is configured to store one or more tension thresholds and store instructions that when executed cause one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include obtaining a yarn movement signal from the yarn movement sensor, determining whether a textile machine is operational based, at least in part on the yarn movement signal, obtaining a yarn tension signal from the yarn tension sensor, comparing the yarn tension signal to the one or more tension thresholds, generating one or more brake control signals based on said comparison, and operating the yarn brake based upon each of the one or more brake signals.

  • Publication number: 20230374238
Abstract: There is provided a method of coating a substrate comprising at least one chemical group, by contacting the substrate surface with a compound comprising at least one carbon-carbon double bond or a mixture of a first monomer M1 and a second monomer M2. Then a reaction is initiated to form a covalent bond by reaction of the photoactive groups and the carbon-carbon double bond, by subjecting at least a part of the formed complexes to actinic radiation, wherein the wavelength of the actinic radiation is adapted to be absorbed by the photoactive group. The method is to a large extent resistant to inhibition of impurities in the substrate surface. A greater uniformity of the elastic modulus throughout the substrate and the added layers can be achieved. When a further topcoat is added resulting surface has a high hardness, and the scratch resistance is improved. When a topsheet is applied the abrasion resistance is improved.

  • Publication number: 20230048969
Abstract: There is provided a method of coating a substrate comprising applying a first mixture where the first mixture reacts to form covalent bonds to the substrate surface and where the unreacted parts of the first mixture undergo diffusive mixing with a second layer, which is applied on top of the first mixture. This avoids creation of a weak layer, which may otherwise give lower adhesion. The adhesion as well as mechanical properties including the scratch resistance are improved.

  • Publication number: 20170351175
Abstract: A synthetic paper is manufactured with a method comprising the steps of: a) providing at least two types of pho to-polymerizable monomers, b) exposing the volume to a three-dimensional light pattern to induce a polymerization reaction, and c) removing uncured monomer to create an open microstructure. The volume comprises at least one monomer comprising at least two thiol groups and at least one monomer comprising at least two carbon-carbon double bonds, where the ratio (r1) between the number of thiol groups and the number of carbon-carbon double bonds fulfils one of: 0.5?r1?0.9 and 1.1?r1?2. One advantage is that off stoichiometry creates an edge effect giving better defined boundaries between exposed and unexposed parts in the volume and giving a possibility to create thinner micro pillars. Another advantage is that it is easy to bind molecules to the surface to obtain desired surface properties.
