This improved joint may connect one or more objects while also providing for three-dimensional non-coplanar movement that may be selectively locked or unlocked at a variety of angles by a single activating action (e.g., pressing a button). The improved joint may also be fashioned into useful devices in various other arts beyond the fitness arts.

    Abstract: A rack unit for stacking storage medium disks such as compact disks (CDs) in a stacked cylindrical arrangement attached by arms to a vertical post attached to an enlarged base support. The cylindrical arrangement is oriented to be off-center in relation to the base support. The unit includes substantially planar and flat narrow support arms for holding and supporting the disks, so that the disks can be closely stacked to one another. The arms can include flat and planar clip ends thicker than the rest of the arms for snapably attaching about vertical post, where a step edge allows for an exterior edge of the disk to abut against it. The narrow support ends can include a wider substantially flat and planar support surface having an upwardly protruding and flexible hub portion which can snugly fit within the through-holes of the disks.

    Abstract: To minimize the amplitude and spectrum of side bands, beats and harmonics created by changing a transmitter power level between bursts in a GSM TDMA cellular radio communications system, the present invention does not comply with the GSM recommendations by avoiding ramping down to zero power level between time slots. Rather, the transmitter power is ramped between the power value of a previous burst and that of a subsequent burst. In this way, the magnitude or slope of the ramp is minimized and the full time between bursts is available to make power adjustments. A number of embodiments are disclosed.
