Abstract: System and method for monitoring and/or operating one or more moving objects, such as vehicles, where each object is assigned an Internet address. The objects also include an interface to the Internet via a wireless communication unit. The objects have sensors and/or actuators for monitoring and/or affecting components and conditions of that object when connected to the interface. By way of a connection with a supervisor station via the Internet, the moving objects can be monitored and adapted using the sensors and actuators.
