  • Patent number: 9451923
Abstract: According to one embodiment, the x-ray apparatus comprises an x-ray source adapted to emit an x-ray beam, a detector adapted to receive the x-ray beam of the x-ray source, wherein the x-ray source is adapted to be moved in relation to a first portion of the x-ray apparatus, wherein the detector is adapted to be moved in relation to a first portion of the x-ray apparatus, the x-ray apparatus further comprising a control unit for controlling the movement of the x-ray source and detector, wherein the x-ray source and the detector are adapted to rotate in relation to a first portion of the x-ray apparatus, wherein further the x-ray beam is directed essentially towards the detector during the movement of the x-ray source and the detector.

  • Patent number: 8051386
Abstract: Systems, processors and methods display image views of stacks or volume image data and allow a user to navigate the data and/or views using CAD findings. The systems, methods or processors can generate vicinity CAD marks that have an appearance that varies depending (a) the proximity to the suspected abnormality and/or (b) the navigation direction required to move to the suspected abnormality. The visual appearance of a respective vicinity CAD mark in a view can correspond to proximity of the related suspected abnormality to a current view, whereby the vicinity CAD marks have higher intensity, color saturation, size, or other more dominant visual characteristic in views close to the suspected abnormality and lower intensity, color saturation, smaller size or other less dominant visual characteristic in views further away from the suspected abnormality.

  • Patent number: 8044972
Abstract: Systems and methods that visualize medical data having image rendering circuits configured to substantially concurrently display a first image view of breast tissue using a stack of primary tomosynthesis image data and a second image view of breast tissue using a reference image data set, the second image view rendered from at least one of a 2D X-ray mammogram reference image data set or a reference stack of tomosynthesis image data. The first view is visualized based on: (a) anatomical and/or geometric position properties of the reference image data set of the patient; (b) properties of a current view of the reference image data set of the patient; or (c) anatomical and/or geometric position properties of the reference image data set and properties of a current view of the reference image data set.

  • Patent number: 7992100
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating images of respective patients from multi-dimensional medical image data sets include a processor circuit in communication with a display having a graphic user interface (GUI), the processor circuit configured to define at least one grouping of a subset of slices selected from slices in a medical data stack, then generate and display at least one slabbed view based on the at least one grouping of slices.
