  • Patent number: 7094005
Abstract: A shank milling cutter includes a cutting portion which is intended to come into engagement with the workpiece, wherein the envelope surface of the cutting portion is substantially cylindrical. At least one major cutting edge is arranged at the peripheral surface of the cutting portion and at least one minor cutting edge (face cutting edge) is arranged at the end face of the cutting portion and with an end diameter D. The minor cutting edge, in projection onto a plane containing the milling cutter axis, has a convexly curved portion with a radius of curvature R>D/2 and a center of curvature M located such that a distance from the center of curvature M to the axis is in a range from zero to a value smaller than D/2.

  • Patent number: 6533870
Abstract: The invention relates to a road surface marking tape intended for temporary use and being of the kind that includes a base layer of non-cured or non-vulcanized soft elastomeric material, and reinforcing material embedded in the base layer. The reinforcing material is comprised of short fibers of non-metallic material distributed generally uniformly in the base layer in an amount corresponding to 5-50%, preferably 10-20% of the weight of the base layer. The reinforcing material is preferably comprised of fibers of fabric, plastic or carbon with lengths generally between 0.5 and 5 mm, preferably between 1 and 3 mm. The elastomeric material is usually a rubber of the acrylnitrile-butadiene type.

  • Patent number: 6524034
Abstract: A tool tip and tool body assembly includes a tool tip having a first end for contacting a workpiece and a second end, the second end having a patterned surface of recesses and protrusions, and at least one through hole extending through the tool tip from the second end. A tool body has a first end having a patterned surface corresponding to the patterned surface of the tool tip for mating with the patterned surface of the tool tip, and at least one threaded hole adapted to align with the at least one through hole in the tool tip. At least one fastener having a threaded end and a securing end is provided, the fastener extending through the at least one through hole such that the securing end abuts against a surface in the at least one through hole, the threaded end mating with threads in the threaded hole. Torque is transmitted between the tool tip and the tool body solely by the at least one fastener and the patterned surface of the tool tip and the patterned surface of the tool body.
