Abstract: Blind spots in a network system are identified and eliminated. Synthetic transactions are generated and transmitted across a network system, and at least a portion of the synthetic transactions is captured. Parts of the synthetic transactions that were not captured can be determined and employed to generate a logical security map of the network system based on the captured synthetic transactions. At least one blind spot can be identified from in the logical security map of the network system, and a solution determined to eliminate the at least one blind spot. Subsequently, the solution is implemented for the network system to eliminate the blind spot.

Abstract: A tracheostomy tube (1) has an inflatable sealing cuff (13) and an array of one or more RFID pressure sensors (120) around the cuff. A leakage unit (30) interrogates the sensors (120) to determine any regions around the cuff having incomplete contact with the tracheal wall indicative of potential leakage between the cuff and the wall of the trachea.

Abstract: Sleep apnoea treatment equipment has a housing containing a blower connected to the housing outlet via a duct. A length of flexible breathing tubing connects the housing outlet with a face mask worn by the patient so that he receives a flow of air at elevated pressure. An acoustic sensor is mounted in the duct close to the blower and supplies an output to a processor. The processor supplies an output to a loudspeaker or other acoustic source mounted downstream of the sensor, between it and the outlet. The processor drives the source to produce anti-noise in anti-phase with the blower-generated noise so as to reduce the noise level outside the equipment.
