Abstract: A system for pain treatment includes a vibrating device having a working surface adapted to be positioned on a subject's skin in an affected area, and in embodiments adhered to and conforming to the affected area. The vibrating device generates displacement of the working surface in a plurality of vibratory modes, for example varying a power level, duration and waveform of vibration applied to the affected area to stimulate nerves in the affected area to reduce transmission of pain signals to the subject's brain. One or more vibratory modes and other parameters of a treatment cycle may be saved in profiles and a user may save and select different profiles from onboard or remote storage. A processor, in coordination with an app, is adapted to instruct the device to apply a pattern to the affected area according to a selected profile, and to save and retrieve profiles and related information from storage.
