  • Publication number: 20230256370
Abstract: Disclosed is an air-cleaning blower (“ACB”) that includes an inlet cover, housing, clean-side cover, and impeller. The inlet cover may be a rigid flat surface with a central opening. The housing may have a hollow inner cavity and walls that form an incomplete cylinder with a slit between the walls. The clean-side cover may be a rigid flat surface with apertures, and with brackets extending between the apertures to connect an impeller/motor mount to the clean-side cover. The impeller may be mounted on the impeller/motor mount inside the housing between the inlet cover and the clean-side cover. The impeller rotates to induce suction of particulate-pervaded air or gas through the central opening, to circulate the heavier particulates against an interior of the walls until ejection through the slit, and to circulate the lighter cleaned air or gas in front of the heavier particulates until ejection through the apertures.

  • Publication number: 20230125457
Abstract: Synthetic molecular tags are placed on an item at various points in a supply chain to create a molecular record of movement through the supply chain. Associations between each unique synthetic molecular tag and individual locations in the supply chain are stored in an electronic record which may be maintained in the cloud. The synthetic molecular tags are collected from the item and sequenced to determine movement of the item through the supply chain by reference to the electronic record. The synthetic molecular tags can be used for identifying recalled items based on locations in the supply chain associated with a recall. The synthetic molecular tags may be polynucleotides such as deoxyribose nucleic acid (DNA). The item may be any type of item including food.

  • Patent number: 10944261
Abstract: A proximal end portion of a robotic surgical arm is to be coupled to an adapter of a surgical robotic platform, for use during a surgical session at the platform, and then decoupled from the adapter for storage until being re-coupled for use during another surgical session at the platform. A resonant-mode transformer-coupled power converter is provided that has a secondary side and a primary side. The secondary side is in the arm and has a transformer secondary coil in the proximal end portion of the arm. The primary side has a transformer primary coil in the adapter. The primary and secondary coils are held at positions and orientations that enable mutual inductive coupling between them for operation of the power converter when the arm is coupled to the adapter. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20020116212
Abstract: An ordering process linking products tried or identified in a real world setting to the Internet, and possibly combined with a real world buying solution, is disclosed with a coding system, label, Internet site with an eventual order form. The coding system identifies the product and possibly the product price, inventory holder, retailer and/or other parties by assigning each element or party their own identification factor. The label can be detachable from the product and is equipped with the code. The Internet site is designed to accept the product code to order the product, and ensure proper profit sharing and goods delivery. A mobile device may be used in conjunction with the CODE to order the product in place of the Internet site or retail order form. Similarly, telephone, fax or Post mail may be used along with the CODE to place an order. An order form can be made available at the retail establishment to give consumers an immediate ordering opportunity.

  • Patent number: 6349143
Abstract: The preferred embodiments include a method and system for simultaneously displaying diagnostic medical ultrasound image clips on one or more monitors without degradation in display frame rate. In one preferred embodiment, compressed ultrasound image frames are sent to a video display system for decompression. Because compressed image frames are sent, there is no degradation in frame rate caused by the bandwidth limitations of the CPU/video display system bus. Further, because the video display system decompress the compressed image frames faster than decompression software executed by a CPU, there is no degradation in frame rate caused by power limitations of the CPU. The video display system can also be used to control the frame rate, luminance, and size of individual ultrasound image clips. The preferred video display system described herein finds particular utility in ultrasound examinations performed in cardiac, radiological, obstetrical, and neo-natal ultrasound examinations.

  • Patent number: 6015385
Abstract: An ultrasonic imaging system includes a beamformer stage operative to generate a frame of acoustic signals on an initial sample grid, and a display characterized by a pixel parameter. Acoustic signals on the initial sample grid are converted to processed acoustic signals on a modified sample grid prior to scan conversion. The modified sample grid is controlled as a function of the pixel parameter of the display to reduce image artifacts and maximize the detail with which the image is displayed.
