Abstract: The invention controls pumps, an ionizer, and other devices associated with fluid circulation. An ionizer is attached to a port on the pump into a flowing fluid system, e.g., a fluid pump or filter, and having a pair of electrodes for electrolytically ionizing fluid flowing through the system, a head in which the two electrodes are mounted, and wires situated within and extending out from the head for connecting each electrode with a controller and a current source. The ionizer head can be easily secured onto a port of the fluid system, such as a pump or filter. Power to the ionizer can be synchronized with power to the motor of the pump in order to provide control over both the motor and ionizer in tandem.

The brush head can be joined to a handle adaptor with two portions. The distal portion has a proximal end threaded to receiving a standard brush/rake handle. The housing includes a lower-section housing and a cover assembly removably attached to the lower-section housing. The filter apparatus has multiple ports and valves, such as a valve associated with the cover assembly, so as to allow a user to easily switch between various operations on a pool filter, such as between a backwash mode and a filtration mode. The filter apparatus also employs a cage positioned around the cartridge, thereby between the housing and the filter. The cage provides additional support to the cartridge so as to reduce wear and tear of the cartridge. The cover is rotatable about the lower-section housing so as to allow a user to position ports on the cover in any direction.

Abstract: A pre-filter skimmer system that reduces the amount of debris and particles entering the water filter in order to increase the longevity of the water filter is disclosed. The pre-filter skimmer system includes a chamber including an inlet and an outlet, wherein the water enters via the inlet and exits via the outlet. The water enters a first collector that is positioned at least partially within the chamber, the first collector configured to capture particles of a first size carried by the water. From here, the water enters a second collector that is positioned downstream of the first collector, wherein the second collector is configured to capture particles of a second size smaller than the first size that passed through the first collector.
