The anchor bolt alignment tool has a base that may be formed as a flat plate having a top surface and a bottom surface, with the bottom surface arranged for placement and alignment with a surface of a substrate. A lateral alignment guide is oriented orthogonal to the bottom surface in each of a vertical and a longitudinal axis of the base. A vertical alignment guide is oriented orthogonal to the top surface of the base in each of a vertical and a lateral axis of the base. An inboard edge of the vertical alignment guide and a notch in the base provide for alignment of an axial centerline of the anchor bolt at the desired lateral offset from the edge of the substrate.

    Abstract: A latch mechanism for a child-resistant storage case has a seal bead between the lid and body of the storage case. The latch mechanism includes a latch tab extending downward from the lid that must be simultaneously pivoted inward and pressed upward to release the lid. The latch tab acts as a lever arm to locally deform the adjacent portions of the lid and seal, and thereby more easily release the seal when the latch tab is pressed upward.

    Abstract: Hybrid silicon devices are disclosed in which a silicon-based resonant structure is coated with a rare-earth-doped tellurium oxide layer that facilitates optical gain, thereby forming a silicon-based laser cavity. The silicon-based laser cavity supports at least one resonant mode that has a modal volume extending from the silicon resonant base structure into the rare-earth-doped tellurium oxide layer. The silicon-based laser cavity is optically coupled to a silicon waveguide to facilitate the delivery of pump laser energy to the silicon-based laser cavity, such that at least a portion of the pump laser energy propagating through the silicon waveguide is coupled to the silicon-based laser cavity for excitation of the rare earth dopant within the rare-earth-doped tellurium oxide layer. The silicon waveguide that is optically coupled to the silicon-based laser cavity also facilitates the external delivery of the laser energy generated within silicon-based laser cavity.
