Abstract: A computer-interactive building system includes a plurality of interconnectable blocks, a communications device and a computer. The plurality of interconnectable blocks each have non-transitory memory storing respective block data. The computer executes a software application configured to generate a virtual representation of a physical assembly of at least a portion of the plurality of interconnectable blocks based on the respective block data, and vary at least one attribute of the virtual representation based on a change in the plurality of interconnectable blocks used to make the physical assembly. The communications device is configured for data communication between the at least a portion of the plurality of interconnectable blocks used to the make the physical assembly and the computer.

Abstract: A powered toy budding block includes a printed circuit board, at least a first electrical component mounted to the printed circuit board, at least a first electrical connector mounted to an edge of the printed circuit board and electrically connected to the first electrical component, and a body defining a hollow interior cavity, and at least a first mechanical connector, the printed circuit board and the first electrical component being arranged in the hollow interior cavity with the first electrical connector extending into the first mechanical connector. The first electrical component can be a light emitting diode arranged over an opening in the printed circuit board. The first electrical component can also be a digital audio player, operable to play a digital audio file through a speaker arranged in the body.

The fiber optic cable has a first coupling point and a second coupling point. The clasp has a housing, a retention mechanism, a first connector and a second connector. The first connector is configured to couple to the first coupling point and the second connector is configured to couple to the second coupling point of the fiber optic cable. The control circuit is disposed within the housing and has a power source and at least one illuminating device. The illuminating device is optically coupled to one or both of the first and second connectors in order to illuminate at least a portion of the fiber optic cable with light. At least one of the clasp and the illuminating device is removable to permit interchangeable selectivity of the color of the illuminating light.
