Abstract: A synchronized wireless network includes a root coordinator and any number of other coordinators that are synchronized with the root coordinator, e.g., according to a communication schedule established by the root coordinator and transmitted to the other coordinators in one or more beacons. The other coordinators coordinate operations of individual area networks by establishing communication schedules for the respective area networks, and transmitting beacons including such other schedules to any number of nodes of such networks. Upon detecting a loss of connectivity with the root coordinator, coordinators or nodes of area networks monitor channels and timeslots for beacons transmitted by other coordinators of the synchronized wireless network, and elect one of their own to serve as a root coordinator, or select one of the other coordinators for synchronization, based on contents of such beacons.

Abstract: A process of managing security-compromised communication devices in a talk group. In operation, a talk group receives security information associated with communication devices that are each operated by a member of a talk group. When a request to establish a group call between the members of the talk group is received, the talkgroup server determines whether the request is associated with an incident assigned to the members of the talk group. If the request is associated with the incident assigned to the members of the talk group, the talkgroup server restricts or allows the participation of a security-compromised communication device in the group call established between the members of the talk group based at least in part on incident-response communication requirements associated with responding to the incident. If the request is not associated with any incident, the talkgroup server restricts the participation of the security-compromised communication device.

During operation, an update manager will determine a past history of performance problems specific to the device that needs updating. The device manager will also determine problems fixed with the update. The system also includes an electronic processor configured to receive, from an electronic device, a request for access to a feature, the request including a unique identifier of the electronic device, validate the request for access by comparing the unique identifier to the plurality of stored unique identifiers to verify an identity of the electronic device, and transmit a token request to a feature server configured to provide the feature. Abstract: A method and system for web content capture and validation. The method includes receiving navigation instructions from a user to capture web content, automatically executing the navigation instructions along with content specific plug-in algorithms to arrange content for capture through a secure server, packaging the captured content along with the instructions, making the package available for download and encrypting the package with a digital signature such that a user may independently verify the integrity of the package. Additionally, the method includes a cloud component such that a user may optionally store captured content in the cloud and download the content at any time.
