Abstract: A fixed-pixel array display system and video processor merge multiple video streams, each from a separate computer or non-VESA compliant video source, into a single VESA-compliant video stream. The separate video streams are re-formatted by the video processor to fit within its own display area. The display areas are separately determined by the processor. Arrays along the edges of the fixed-pixel array display device detect a tactile contact with the display screen. The coordinates of a tactile contact are read by the video processor and correlated to a sector of the display device where a video image is displayed. The location of the tactile contact is sent to the video source as an input to its graphical user interface. Separate computers or other video sources with graphical user interfaces can be controlled from the single display device using the touch sensitive input screen.
