Abstract: An implantable medical lead includes a lead body extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The lead body includes an inner insulation layer and an outer insulation layer. The lead further includes a sleeve mechanically supported by the lead body at the distal end of the lead body. The lead further includes an uninsulated conductor coil. The uninsulated conductor coil includes a first portion having a first inner diameter, and a second portion having a second inner diameter and extending distally from the outer insulation layer. The first portion is positioned between the inner insulation layer and the outer insulation layer. The second inner diameter is greater than the first inner diameter. An outer surface of the second portion is exposed.

Abstract: An apparatus for teaching and practicing the proper positioning of the hands and/or wrists relative to the arms in the performance of an athletic maneuver is disclosed. The apparatus includes a brace to be positioned on the forearm and extend across the wrist and at least partially along the hand. A securing mechanism can be included for selectively attaching the brace to the forearm. A rod extends from the brace and is configured to be gripped by the user while wearing the device. The rod can also receive athletic related devices. The device can be adapted to teach a user the proper positioning of the hands and wrists relative to the arms throughout an athletic maneuver.

Abstract: A fastening element for securing a facemask to an outer shell of a protective helmet is disclosed. The fastening element comprises an end portion defining an aperture and a first tab and a second tab each flexibly connected to the end portion. The first tab defines a first tab aperture and the second tab defines a second tab aperture. The first tab and second tab also define a slot therebetween. A combination comprising a facemask and a fastening element is also disclosed. The facemask can comprise at least one substantially horizontal member and at least one substantially vertical member intersecting the substantially horizontal member. The fastening element is connectable to the facemask. Also disclosed is a helmet comprising an outer shell, a facemask and a fastening element for securing the outer shell to the facemask.
