  • Publication number: 20240082487
Abstract: A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a cam, and a grasper. The grasper assembly has first and second graspers arms each having a first end and a second end. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the lead screw. The first ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the cam such that actuation of the cam toward the grasper assembly causes the second ends of the first and second grasper arms to pivotally approach each other. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms each includes threads to engage the lead screw when the second ends of the first and second grasper arms approach each other. The plunger head coupled to said grasper assembly and operative to drive a plunger of a syringe into a barrel of said syringe.

  • Patent number: 8203942
Abstract: A communications resource management system. The system includes a first module for prioritizing incoming messages and a second module for steering the messages in response to the prioritization by the first module. The first module assigns a message priority to each message based on a plurality of parameters such as mission mode, message type, and timeliness factor. The second module selects the most optimal communications resource for the message with the highest message priority by assigning a transmitter priority to each communications resource based on a plurality of factors such as estimated message arrival time, availability, and waveform compatibility. The message with the highest message priority is steered to the communications resource with the highest transmitter priority at the moment the message is sent. The first and second modules are each implemented using decision tree logic.

  • Patent number: 6984184
Abstract: An apparatus for building muscle memory to develop a more rapid baseball swing and avoid casting of the hands and bat during the swing. Such apparatus includes a first attachment member connectable to an upper arm and a second attachment member connectable to an opposing forearm interposed by an elongated tether to be aligned along a forearm upon initially entering into a hitter's stance. A method for using such apparatus is also disclosed herein.
