  • Patent number: 10589409
Abstract: A method for replacing a clincher anvil of a clincher assembly of a fastener driving tool is provided. The method includes removing a first connector connecting the mount to a connecting rod operatively connected to a motor of the fastener driving tool through a first aperture in the housing, aligning second connector connecting the clincher anvil to a portion of the clinching assembly with a second aperture in the housing, removing the second connector through the second aperture, removing the clincher arm from the fastener driving tool, aligning a replacement clincher arm with the portion of the clinching assembly, inserting the second connector through the second aperture, securing the replacement clincher arm to the portion of the clinching assembly, inserting the first connector through the first aperture and into the mount, and connecting the mount to the connecting rod.

  • Patent number: 10464197
Abstract: Tool-free adjustment members in a fastener driving tool. The fastener driving tool can be used to seal closed containers such as, for example, corrugated fiberboard cartons, by applying staples to the folded flaps or other closure parts to secure them in place. The tool-free adjustment members provide customizable drive settings for a variety of different sized staples and different workpiece conditions.

  • Publication number: 20170361443
Abstract: A pneumatic fastening tool that has an integrated valve assembly. The integrated valve assembly can have a cylindrical valve assembly housing that can house a portion of a head valve assembly and can also house at least a portion of a trigger valve assembly. The head valve assembly can have a head valve body that can be maintained in a resting state by compressed air. The compressed air that maintains the resting stat of the head valve assembly can be provided by one or more passages formed in the valve assembly housing. The valve assembly housing can also guide the movement of the valve head body when the trigger valve assembly is actuated causing a fastener to be driven into a workpiece. The valve assembly housing can have a circular exhaust seal and a cylindrical exhaust chamber through which compressed air can be exhausted after the driving of a fastener into a work piece.

  • Publication number: 20170361442
Abstract: A pneumatic fastening device which uses compressed air from an internal reservoir to momentarily move a feed piston in a direction away from a drive channel when a trigger is actuated and a fastener is driven into a workpiece. The compressed air can flow from the reservoir to a return chamber by flowing through a passageway to pressurize the return chamber and move the feed piston away from the drive channel. The passageway can be a feed piston pressure tube which received compressed air from the reservoir, passes through one or more bulkheads that separate different chambers of the pneumatic fastening device and has an outlet in the return chamber.

  • Patent number: 9724812
Abstract: A fastener driving tool includes a housing, a drive track within the housing, a magazine connected to the housing and configured to hold a supply of fasteners and to provide a leading fastener to the drive track, a driver configured to move downward in the drive track and drive the leading fastener into a workpiece during a drive stroke, a mount connected to the driver, and a clincher operatively connected to the housing and to the mount. The clincher is configured to engage the leading fastener during the drive stroke and move into a clinching position at the end of the drive stroke to clinch the fastener to the workpiece. A motor is configured to rotate a crank arm, and a connecting rod is pivotably connected to the mount at one end portion thereof and pivotably connected to the crank arm at an opposite end portion thereof.
