Abstract: An improved medication timer which encourages economic efficiency by providing an inexpensive restart switch that is useable and reliable with both child-resistant or non-child-resistant medication containers. This apparatus includes a timing-and-alarm unit, an automatic time-measurement restart switch compression switch external to the inner (medication-containing) compartment, and a two-element medication closure with an inner cap element providing the physical and chemical closure and the outer sleeve element providing a means for engaging the inner cap element, retaining the timing-and-alarm unit, and activating the automatic time-measurement restart switch compression switch.

Abstract: A medical timer apparatus that provides a time of day display and that measures time as between sensings of a monitored parameter, such as the opening of a medication container. Alarm time information may be input as either preselected times of day or as an interval between openings of the medication container. A minimum safe interval between dosages unit operates to signal when medication should not be taken. A predosing interval unit operates to signal the operator that medication might be safely dispensed even though the alarm time has not yet arrived. The invention also operates to calculate and display a compliance score that indicates how well the patient has complied wtih the prescription schedule.

The magnetically responsive switch responds to magnets positioned such that the magnets will be brought into operable range of the magnetically responsive switch by activities that are consistent with administration of the medicine.

Abstract: A pneumatic eye bandage is disclosed having an adhesive coated portion for attachment to the area surrounding the eyelid of the user, a pneumatic cushion composed of a closed cell or multi-cells which may be contoured to conform to the eye of the user or may be contoured to provide a desired pressure distribution on the eye of the user, said cells are intermediate the overlying bandage and the eye of the user and may optionally be provided with adhesive areas and adsorbent pads on the pneumatic cushion to prevent movement of the eyelid of the user and collect discharges from the eye.
