Abstract: A hip support assembly includes a frame member coupled to a main frame of the exercise apparatus, a stem coupled to a top end of the frame member, a tube coupled to a top end of the stem and a first saddle and a second saddle. Each of the first and second saddles includes a pad for supporting an iliac crest of the user, and a base coupling the first and second saddles to the tube. The hip support assembly is longitudinally, laterally, vertically and rotationally adjustable and supports the hips (particularly the iliac crests) of a user during use of an exercise apparatus in a procumbent position.
