  • Publication number: 20240061979
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is proposed in a computer-assisted design (CAD) system. In one embodiment, the method obtains gradients of an objective with respect to CAD parameters of a shape in a coordinate space, where the shape is obtained from the CAD parameters. The obtained gradients may then be used to modify the CAD parameters by applying a gradient descent algorithm aimed to maximise or minimise the objective. The present invention thus proposes a differentiable parametric CAD system comprising an artificial neural network, and which can be applied on top of any CAD software tool.

  • Patent number: 11822601
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the comparison of data items, such as media data items or streams, e.g. audio files or streams, to determine a similarity between the data items. A device receives a plurality, or ensemble, of data items, and calculates the pairwise similarity scores between a number of unique pairs of data items within the ensemble. For any given pair of data items, the pairwise similarity score is compared with an overall similarity score for an “indirect path” connecting the pair of data items via one or more intermediate data items. If the indirect path indicates a closer similarity between the data items, the pairwise score is updated based on the overall similarity score of the indirect path. The updated similarity score generated by this comparison then provides an improved indication of the similarity of the data items compared to the prior art method.

  • Publication number: 20230135778
Abstract: An electronic device receives a source audio file from a user of a digital audio workstation and a target MIDI file, the target MIDI file comprising digital representations for a series of notes. The electronic device generates a series of sounds from the target MIDI file, each respective sound in the series of sounds corresponding to a respective note in the series of notes. The electronic device divides the source audio file into a plurality of segments. For each sound in the series of sounds, the electronic device matches a segment from the plurality of segments to the sound based on a weighted combination of features identified for the corresponding sound. The electronic device generates an audio file in which the series of sounds from the target MIDI file are replaced with the matched segment corresponding to each sound.

  • Patent number: 10776420
Abstract: Methods and a computer-readable storage device for detecting shared audio content between first audio content information and second audio content information is provided. The methods cluster similar fingerprints to lessen the impact that similar or repetitive sounds have on the final decision, thereby producing a more accurate final decision about whether the first audio content information shares audio content with the second audio content information.

  • Patent number: 10657175
Abstract: Methods and a computer-readable storage device are disclosed for generating a frequency representation of a query audio file. The frequency representation represents information about at least a number of frequencies within a time range containing a number of time frames of the audio content information and a level associated with each of said frequencies. At least one of area of data points in the frequency representation is selected. A fingerprint for each selected area of data points is generated by applying a trained neural network onto said selected area of data points thereby generating a vector in a metric space. A distance between at least one of the generated query fingerprints and at least one reference fingerprint is calculated using a specified distance metric. A reference audio file having associated reference fingerprints which have produced at least one associated distance satisfying a predetermined threshold is identified.
