  • Publication number: 20240057698
Abstract: An improved kneepad system for removably attaching a pair of kneepads to pair of pants. The improved kneepad system includes one or more external kneepad assemblies to be disposed along an outer surface of the pants. A fastening assembly is designed for removably attaching the one or more external kneepad assemblies to the pants. Each of the kneepad assemblies includes a pocket which houses a corresponding kneepad insert. Finally, the kneepad assemblies include a protective layer which is attached to the pocket.

  • Publication number: 20220344462
Abstract: A wafer includes a substrate and at least one intermediate layer formed on a surface of the substrate. The at least one intermediate layer covers the surface of the substrate at least partially. An outer surface of the at least one intermediate layer is directed away from the surface of the substrate. The wafer further includes nanostructures grown on the outer surface of the at least one intermediate layer. The at least one intermediate layer is formed in such a way that positions of growth of the nanostructures are predetermined on the outer surface of the at least one intermediate layer. At least one nanostructure material of the nanostructures is assembled at the positions of growth of the nanostructures.

  • Patent number: 10511151
Abstract: A method for fabricating a nanostructure comprises the steps of growing a first nanowire on a substrate, forming a dielectric layer on the substrate, the dielectric layer surrounding the first nanowire, wherein a thickness of the dielectric layer is smaller than a length of the first nanowire, and removing the first nanowire from the dielectric layer, thereby exposing an aperture in the dielectric layer.

  • Patent number: 10374394
Abstract: A core-shell nanowire laser structure comprises a substrate (12), an elongated support element (14) extending from the substrate, the support element having a first diameter, and an elongated body element (16) extending on and/or around the support element, the body element having a second diameter at least two times larger than the first diameter, wherein the body element is spaced apart from the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20120168506
Abstract: A method for security purposes is disclosed, in which a challenge signal is applied to a physical object and a response signal is received from the physical object. The response signal comprises a plurality of characteristic resonant optical mode or a characteristic of the response signal is determined based on a spatial resolution of at least two frequency components of the response signal that is affected by luminescence effect.
