  • Patent number: 11928856
Abstract: A synthetic world interface may be used to model digital environments, sensors, and motions for the evaluation, development, and improvement of computer vision and speech algorithms. A synthetic data cloud service with a library of sensor primitives, motion generators, and environments with procedural and game-like capabilities, facilitates engineering design for a manufactural solution that has computer vision and speech capabilities. In some embodiments, a sensor platform simulator operates with a motion orchestrator, an environment orchestrator, an experiment generator, and an experiment runner to test various candidate hardware configurations and computer vision and speech algorithms in a virtual environment, advantageously speeding development and reducing cost. Thus, examples disclosed herein may relate to virtual reality (VR) or mixed reality (MR) implementations.

  • Publication number: 20120330202
Abstract: A thermal treatment device is provided to perform thermal therapy treatment to a portion of a body. The thermal treatment device includes a harness and a bladder. The harness is configured to wrap around at least a portion of the body to secure the thermal treatment device. The bladder is coupled to an interior section of the harness and is filled with a temperature retaining fluid to provide either cold or heat therapy treatment.

  • Publication number: 20070197950
Abstract: A device for administering cold therapy to a human ankle, and a method for administering cold therapy to a human ankle using the device. In accordance with the invention, two opposing flexible sheet members are connected via a web that spans a gap between them. At least one insert that includes a flexible, fluid-tight pouch containing at least a chilled, non-gaseous, temperature retaining fluid is releasably secured to one of the flexible sheet members. The insert is positioned adjacent to either the lateral or medial side of the human ankle. Bottom portions of each of the opposing flexible sheet members are secured to each other underneath the human's foot. Straps extending from the opposing flexible sheet members are drawn in opposite directions, one over the ankle ligaments on the top of the foot and another around the leg above the ankle, to secure the device to the human's ankle and thereby provide cold therapy and compression thereto.

  • Publication number: 20060004427
Abstract: A thermal pack that includes a tubular body having a first opening, a second opening, an inner surface and an outer surface. The first opening, the inner surface and the second opening cooperate to define a passage through the tubular body for the limb. The inner surface and the outer surface of the tubular body are defined by a continuous eversion-limitless film of flexible material. A temperature-retaining fluid such as a water-based gel is received between the inner surface and the outer surface. The thermal pack can be positioned at a desired location on a limb by rolling the thermal pack onto the limb.

  • Publication number: 20050257562
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for chilling beverages in containers. The apparatus includes a tubular body having a first opening, a second opening, an inner surface and an outer surface. The first opening, the inner surface and the second opening cooperate to define a passage through the tubular body for receiving a beverage container. The inner surface and outer surface of the tubular body are formed of and defined by a continuous film of flexible material. A non-gaseous temperature-retaining fluid is received between the inner surface and the outer surface of the tubular body. The apparatus is pre-chilled prior to use, and then is rolled onto the beverage container such that the beverage container is received within the passage through the tubular body to rapidly chill the beverage to a desired serving temperature.
