  • Publication number: 20200066089
Abstract: A system has a pre-recorded content database. Further, the system has a processor that generates a graphical user interface that renders a virtual scratch card game. The processor receives a participant user input corresponding to one of the plurality of selection indicia. Further, the processor randomly determines a plurality of events in a plurality of pre-recorded video clips. The processor also associates a game image with each of the plurality of pre-recorded video clips in the interactive menu such that a rendering device renders a corresponding pre-recorded video clip from the plurality of pre-recorded video clips based on game imagery user input. The graphical user interface comprises a plurality of selection indicia associated with less than a totality of potential virtual sport-based game participants. Further, the graphical user interface comprises an interactive menu of game imagery.

  • Patent number: 10524008
Abstract: A system has a database that stores a plurality of audio/visual clips. Further, the system has a memory device that has a buffer with a threshold quantity of memory blocks. In addition, the system has a processor that receives the plurality of audio/visual clips in an ordered sequence for a virtual sports game. The processor also writes one or more frames of a first audio/visual clip to the buffer. Further, the processor allocates the threshold quantity of memory blocks such that the processing speed of writing one or more frames of a second audio/visual clip to the buffer is faster than a broadcast frame rate for broadcasting the first audio/visual clip. In addition, the processor writes the one or more frames of the second audio/visual clip to the allocated threshold quantity of memory blocks of the buffer.

  • Publication number: 20190311576
Abstract: A system has a database that stores a plurality of pre-recorded video clips of real-world sports game events. Further, the system has a game engine processor that determines that a wager time period for a corresponding virtual sports game has completed. The game engine processor also determines an outcome of the virtual sports game subsequent to the determination that the wager time period has completed. Moreover, the game engine processor selects a pre-recoded clip from the plurality of pre-recorded clips that corresponds to the outcome. Finally, the game engine processor links the pre-recorded video clips as a base video layer to one or more overlay video layers. The wager time period is a period of time in which one or more user inputs are permitted to be received at a computing device that renders the virtual sports game.

  • Patent number: 10316479
Abstract: Queue management systems allow a long queue/line of people to be held in a relatively small area. However, if there is no queue/line the system may frustrate users. The invention provides in one aspect a queue management gate 110 comprising an attachment device 150 for attaching the queue management gate to a stanchion 30 of the type used in queue management systems which include flexible tapes extending between stanchions to form lanes, the gate further comprising a relatively rigid movable barrier 60, movable in a substantially horizontal plane, the gate for allowing access between adjacent lanes formed by the queue management system such that users may avoid walking through the empty lanes formed by the queue management system.

  • Patent number: 10045668
Abstract: A system and control method are provided for authenticating a paper product dispensed from a dispenser. The paper product formation is loaded into the dispenser, the formation having an identification mark engraved into a surface thereof. Within the dispenser, incident light is directed onto the surface and a digital image of the surface is captured. The engraved identification mark produces a recognizable authentication signature in the digital image as compared to surrounding surface of the paper product formation. The captured digital image is analyzed for presence of the authentication signature, and if the authentication signature is not present, the paper product formation is deemed unauthorized and a responsive action is initiated.

  • Patent number: 9944481
Abstract: A system and control method are provided for determining an amount of a product dispensed from or added to a product formation. At defined intervals, a mark is projected with a light source imager onto an aspect of the product formation that changes as the amount of product is depleted or added to the product formation. A digital image is taken of the aspect of the product formation that captures the projected mark and is transmitted to a digital imager processor, wherein a feature of the projected mark is analyzed that changes as the product formation decreases or increases in size as the product is dispensed or added. The analyzed feature is compared with a predetermined value of the feature at a predefined size of the product formation to determine an actual amount of the product on the product formation, or amount of product depleted from or added to the product formation.
