  • Publication number: 20170017906
Abstract: Embodiments of the present technology relate to travel booking optimization using preferences. A method includes receiving corporate hotel booking preferences that define hotels or hotel groups that offer discount rates for a corporation, receiving hotel selection criteria from a user, applying the corporate hotel booking preferences to hotels that correspond to the hotel selection criteria, and displaying to a travel agent system hotels that correspond to the hotel selection criteria such that hotels that are included in the corporate hotel booking preferences are displayed differently from hotels that are not included in the corporate hotel booking preferences.

  • Publication number: 20160307123
Abstract: Embodiments of the present technology relate to integrating web services into agent terminal systems. In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring commands on a native global distribution system desktop, the commands being input into native global distribution system (GDS) desktop in a native mainframe format, launching a user interface window of a web application for a map-based shopping and booking system in either a User Interface or in a native window when a travel request includes a trigger, providing the user interface window a local HTTP server with which to interface when running in the User Interface, and orchestrating communication between the native global distribution system (GDS) desktop, GDS web services, and the user interface window.

  • Publication number: 20160170620
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for rendering, on a spatial region of a map, summary information associated with map elements such as points of interest, according to selected attributes that may be dynamically filtered by the user. In some embodiments, summary data associated with the map elements within one or more sub-regions residing within, or overlapping with, the spatial region, is obtained, where the summary data includes, for each sub-region, the number of map elements within the sub-region that are associated with different permutations of the selectable attributes. The summary data is then processed to obtain summary information including the number of map elements within each sub-region that correspond to the set of selected attributes.
