Abstract: Articles are identified as potential candidates for inclusion in a newsletter generated for a user. The articles may be identified based on popularity or based on social activities (likes, comments, sharing, etc.) of social connections of the user. The user selects one or more articles for inclusion in the newsletter. The one or more articles may then be parsed and formatted for inclusion in the newsletter. Additional content such as comments and a promotional message may also be added to the newsletter. The newsletter may then be distributed to subscribers, such as by means of email, FACEBOOK MESSENGER or some other messaging system.

Abstract: Example systems and methods are described for aggregating and ranking content from multiple social network sources. In one implementation, a method identifies multiple content items associated with social updates by a user's social relationships in at least one social network. The multiple content items are ranked based on a frequency of social activities related to the content items by the user's social relationships in the social network. A customized content feed is generated for the user based on the ranking of the plurality of content items.

Abstract: An electronic device can be configured to support a port that connects to a plug or jack such that the face of the port is substantially equal to or greater in size than at least one dimension of the electronic device. The electronic device can then continue to support connections to peripheral devices and other devices having plugs and jacks of various sizes, and the electronic device is not necessarily limited to a certain depth or thickness. This can be achieved by electronic devices that incorporate adaptive or extensible ports that are retracted in one state and extended in a second state to support the plugs or jacks such that the face of the port substantially meets or exceeds at least one dimension of the electronic device. Alternatively, or in addition, other embodiments can incorporate resilient materials for certain portions of the port.

The secondary payload interface may include a plurality of input/output couplers which may connect the primary payload communications channel to a secondary payload. The plurality of input/output couplers may establish an isolated secondary payload communications channel within the primary payload communications channel. The secondary payload interface may be designed such that control and telemetry interactions with the operators of the communications satellite are limited.

Each brokerage client computer executes a unique interface to the loan origination and processing system.

Abstract: Topical skin treatment formulation containing salicylic acid or a derivative thereof, dissolved in a solvent system comprising (i) dimethyl isosorbide; (ii) a C1 to C9 alkyl salicylate; and (iii) a glyceryl fatty acid ester. The solvent system may also comprise an alcohol, a polyoxyalkylene-based solvent, and/or a C1 to C4 alkyl glucose ester. The formulation may be used in the treatment of acne. The solvent system improves the targeted delivery of the salicylic acid or derivative to relevant sites on the skin.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the fluid permeability of an earth formation is described. An instrument comprising an acoustic source and acoustic and electrokinetic sensors is located in a borehole at a site of interest. The acoustic source is fired and the resulting variations in pressure and electric field generated are measured and recorded. The Biot equation, and an equation for the streaming potential coupled to fluid displacement terms, is solved using finite element analysis to give an expected pressure waveform and electrokinetic waveform based on estimated earth formation properties. By comparison of the measured waveforms and those calculated from the equations, the actual permeability of the earth formation can be deduced.
