  • Publication number: 20220110542
Abstract: Determining lung capacity of includes capturing an audio waveform of the user performing an utterance presented to a user. A video of the user performing the utterance can be captured. The captured audio waveform and the video are analyzed for compliance. Based on the audio waveform, an indicator of respiratory function is determined. The indicator is compared with a reference indicator to determine health of the user. A machine learning model such as neural network can be trained to predict the indicator of the respiratory function based on input features comprising audio spectral and temporal characteristics of utterances. Determining the indicator or respiratory function can include running the trained machine learning model.

  • Patent number: 11301504
Abstract: A bias compensation method, system, and computer program product include modifying a behavior of a first analytic engine service with a second analytic engine service, where the first service accepts user submitted data and communicates an assessment of the data in a form of a label associated with the corresponding submitted data, where the second service accepts an input and communicates an assessment in a form of a label associated with the corresponding input, and where a behavior model of the first service and the second service includes a discrepancy between the output labels by each service with respect to true labels of data accepted, further including composing a new analytic engine service from the first service and the second service to optimize a service bias in terms of a test dataset based on the behavior model and the known true assessments.

  • Patent number: 10832820
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, data processor and computer program product determine exposure levels to external stimuli. At least one environmental condition is monitored and an external stimulus event is identified based on the at least one environmental condition. An intensity level of the external stimulus event is determined to exceed a predetermined threshold. An exposure level of the external stimulus is determined by integrating the intensity level over time. At least one human biometric quantity of a user is measured and a personal exposure level limitation is determined for the user based on the measured at least one human biometric quantity. When the exposure level exceeds the personal exposure level limitation, the user is warned of the exposure level. The human biometric quantity is one of: heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, glucose level, blood oxygen level, muscle activity, electrolyte level, and lactic acid level.

  • Publication number: 20200242142
Abstract: A textual message that is nonconforming to a grammar of a language is received. The textual message is transformed into a grammatically structured interrogative form. A first sentence of a received content is scored relative to the interrogative form. The received content includes a proposal for an action in a form of a plurality of grammatically compliant structures. Based on the scoring, a response sentence having a highest score is selected. Responsive to the highest score corresponding to the response sentence being above a threshold, the response sentence is transformed into a corresponding summary phrase that is not constrained by the grammar.

Abstract: Visual recognition of medications involves determining an identity of each dispensed medication in a plurality of different medications and a dosage for each dispensed medication from a picture containing the plurality of different medications. The medications include non-pill medications. Each dispensed medication and the dosage for each dispensed medication is compared to a therapeutic treatment regime containing a plurality of designated medications and a dosage schedule for each designated medication. Previous failures to follow the therapeutic treatment regime are identified. • Patent number: 7118026
Abstract: A system, such as a checkout station, for positively identifying items includes a reader that reads coded information affixed to an item. The system further includes a capture module, such as a camera. The capture module captures a visual characteristic of the item to be identified, such as the color, size, shape, or texture of the item. The visual characteristic of the item is compared with visual characteristics of candidate items stored within a database. If multiple items within the database are associated with the item to be identified, the images of the candidate items may be displayed to a user. The user may then select the candidate item that most resembles the item to be identified. The coded information of the item being identified is then compared with coded information of the selected item within the database. If the coded information of both items corresponds, the item is positively identified and is accepted for purchase by a consumer.
