  • Publication number: 20170126485
Abstract: A method for providing recommended resolutions to events is provided. The method may include receiving first events. The method may further include generating tickets based on the first events. Additionally, the method may include routing the first events and the tickets to at least one service department. The method may also include associating resolutions codes with the first events and the tickets. The method may further include receiving at least one second event. The method may also include determining the resolution codes to the at least one second event based on the association of the at least one second event to the received plurality of first events and the generated plurality of tickets. The method may further include ranking the resolution codes to the at least one second event. The method may also include presenting the ranked resolution codes to the at least one second event to users.

  • Publication number: 20170024745
Abstract: A network management system includes an index of historical events, some of which are associated with at least one historical group type and including for the at least one historical group type, the probability that an historical group of that type will lead to a further event action. Further, the network management system includes for each historical event type, the probability that an historical event of that type will be in the at least one historical group; an event classifier for determining, from the index, an historical group type associated with a new event; an action probability classifier for determining the probability of a further event action occurring due to the new event based on the probability of the associated historical group leading to an historical further event action and the probability of the new event being in the associated historical group; and an event tagger for assigning the probability of the further event action to the new event.

  • Publication number: 20160179815
Abstract: Processing of a set of event log data that includes event records. A search criteria is received from a user, and a subset of the set of event log data that includes event records from the set of event log data that satisfy the search criteria is determined. For each event record in the subset of event log data, a similarity score for the event record is determined, where the similarity score is indicative of the similarity of the event record to the other event records in the subset of event log data. The subset of event log data is updated by adding to each event record its similarity score, and the updated subset of event log data is then returned to the user.

  • Publication number: 20160140151
Abstract: Anomaly detection is provided. A first component of a first data resource of a plurality of data resources is identified. Each data resource of the plurality of data resources includes one or more components. A score of the first component is determined based, at least in part, on underlying data of the first component and underlying data of one or more other components of data resources of the plurality of data resources that correspond to the first component. An interest level of the first data resource is determined. A relationship between the score of the first component and the interest level of the first data resource is modeled.

  • Patent number: 8090978
Abstract: A management apparatus operable for protecting data on a failing storage device in a data processing system including a storage array having at least one of a plurality of storage devices. The management apparatus includes a receiver component for receiving a failure message indicating that the plurality of storage devices comprises the failing storage device. An analyzer component is in communication with the receiver component and responsive to receipt of the failure message, for analyzing the failure message. A sender component is in communication with the analyzer component. The sender component is adapted for, in response to the analyzer component determining the failing storage device, sending a zoning message, the zoning message instructing the storage array to isolate the failing storage device, and sending a protect message. The protect message instructs the storage array to protect data on the failing storage device.

  • Patent number: 7903669
Abstract: A method implemented in a computer infrastructure having computer executable code having programming instructions tangibly embodied on a computer readable medium. The programming instructions are operable to configure an initiator-to-initiator message route in a switched fiber channel arbitrated loop (FCAL) network such that the initiator-to-initiator message route traverses a replacement field replaceable unit (FRU). Additionally, the programming instructions are operable to transmit a verification initiator-to-initiator message along the initiator-to-initiator message route to verify proper operation of the replacement FRU.
