The first water treatment chemical includes copper sulfate and a copper ionizable grid and the at least one chemical dosage includes sodium or potassium monopersulfate. The package includes a handle formed in an upper portion thereof to facilitate easy handling of the kit, and two molded half sections which are joined by a living hinge.
