  • Publication number: 20240141905
Abstract: A sump pump system may detect and utilize motion or acceleration of water in sump basins when implementing control of sump pumps. To detect the motion or acceleration, the sump pump system may utilize a sensor that is configured to detect motion or acceleration, such as an accelerometer or gyroscope. The sump pump system may identify a water level in a sump basin based on the detected motion or acceleration, which may be compared to a reading or expected signal from the sump pump system's “typical” sensor (e.g., float switch) that is used to detect one or more water levels. In this manner, the sump pump system may detect a malfunctioning level sensor that is used by the pump to detect high-water and low-water marks at which the sump pump activates and deactivates, respectively.

  • Patent number: 11949570
Abstract: A method for network flow metadata processing at a network packet broker is described herein. The method includes, receiving, as input at a network packet broker, network traffic flow data, aggregating the network traffic flow data over a predefined time period to generate Internet protocol (IP) flow feature vectors containing metadata parameters associated with one or more particular endpoint devices, and providing the IP flow feature vectors to a machine learning element in the network packet broker. The method further includes identifying, by the machine learning element, anomalies existing in the metadata parameters included in the IP flow feature vectors, and automatically configuring one or more filter elements in the network packet broker in response to detecting the identified anomalies of the IP flow feature vectors.

  • Publication number: 20210231143
Abstract: A device to augment gas flow so an exit gas flow will have a higher exit velocity than an inlet gas flow has an inner structure having a first open end and a second open end. The inner structure is hollow. The inner structure tapers down from both the first open end and the second open end to a neck area. At least one opening is formed in the neck area. An outer structure has a first open end and a second open end. The outer structure is hollow. A diameter of the first open end of the outer structure and the second open end of the outer structure are approximately equal and allow the inner structure to slide within the outer structure. At least one outer structure opening is formed in a central area of the outer structure. A housing is attached to the at least one outer structure directing gas flow from a propulsion device within the housing into the device.

  • Patent number: 10844765
Abstract: An improved catalytic converter includes a Coanda chamber assembly connected upstream of a catalytic reaction chamber, where the exhaust pipe is to be connected to the Coanda chamber assembly. The Coanda chamber assembly forms a Coanda chamber that has at least one narrower section and at least one wider section immediately downstream of the narrower section, with openings formed at the narrowest point of a narrower section. In operation, when engine exhaust gas is fed into the Coanda chamber, the gas pressure increases at the narrower section, and drops when the gas enters the wider section. As a result, air is sucked into the Coanda chamber via the openings and mixes with the exhaust gas. This lowers the exhaust temperature and enhances the efficiency of the catalytic reactions in the catalytic reaction chamber.
