    Abstract: Systems and apparatus for a bezel assembly for a heads-up display (HUD) unit located in an instrument panel of a vehicle, the instrument panel being adjacent to a front windshield of the vehicle. The bezel assembly includes a bezel having a rear edge aligned with a front edge of the instrument panel and an interior border defining a bezel opening. The bezel assembly also includes a chute located beneath the bezel and above the HUD unit. The chute includes an exterior border defining a top chute opening aligned with the bezel opening, and an interior border defining a bottom chute opening aligned with a display screen of the HUD unit and having a shape corresponding to the display screen of the HUD unit.

The first ECU bracket attachment site has a first pair of alignment pins spaced apart by a first distance therebetween and the second ECU bracket attachment site has a second pair of alignment pins spaced apart by a second distance therebetween. Thus, the instrument panel may be manufactured in a repeatable manner so as to allow for the mass production of instrument panel assemblies wherein the front face of the electrical component is centered with respect to the second opening of the cover.

    Abstract: The apparatus and method of the present disclosure enables a module to be connected to a wiring harness of a vehicle and installed in a confined area of the vehicle, such as within or underneath a center console. This is enabled by a bracket with an elongated slot and associated fastener disposed with the elongated slot which provides mobility of the module between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the module is located such that an installer of the module has access to connect the wiring harness to the module. In the second position, the module is tucked away in an out of the way location where it may be secured to be remain free from interference throughout the rest of the vehicle assembly process.

    Abstract: An assembly for a console of a vehicle including a main body, a first hook connected to the main body wherein the hook is positioned adjacent and spaced apart from a second hook. A duct member having an aperture connects to the first hook and the second hook. During installation of the duct portion the aperture is first angled and positioned over a first hook then rotated downwards over the second hook wherein the second hook includes a ramped portion. The duct portion is snapped into place and is secured tightly over both the first hook and the second hook. During installation and rotation of the duct portion over the first hook and the second hook, the first hook and the second hook resiliently bend towards each other in compression and are relaxed once the aperture is fully over the first hook and the second hook.

The push-push heart cam includes a breakaway feature to prevent breakage of the pin if a user pulls the assembly rather than pushes the assembly when attempting to close the assembly. The assembly includes a base, a track formed in the base, and a pin slidable within the track which is formed on the base. The assembly further includes a heart shaped cam having a fixed piece and a movable piece wherein the fixed piece and the movable piece of the heart shaped cam are mounted within the track of the base. In the event that the user pulls the slidable mechanism, the pin moves between the fixed piece and the movable piece of the heart shaped cam.

    Abstract: A slidable tray assembly is provided having an aperture located on the housing near the track of the slidable tray assembly to promote egress of foreign objects out of the track. The housing includes a grid-like assembly to strengthen the overall housing assembly. The grid-like pattern promotes foreign objects to become stuck within the track thereby prohibiting movement of the slidable assembly. Foreign objects enter the tray by means of a gap between the slidable tray and a panel from the interior of the vehicle. The aperture located on the housing is sized in proportion to the gap created between the panel and the slidable tray.

The storage compartment includes a base and a cover disposed above the base. The cover includes a first top portion, a second top portion, and a stop. The first top portion is fixedly mounted to the support portion of the base. The second top portion is movable between a retracted position and an extended position, in the retracted position the second top portion is substantially disposed over the first top portion, in the extended position, the second back wall of the second top portion is displaced from the first top portion. Once the second top portion of the cover is moved to the extended position, the stop engages the second top portion so as to prevent the second top portion from moving to the retracted position.
