  • Publication number: 20070203605
Abstract: Automated systems and methods for creating and obtaining devices, including biomedical implants. Systems can have a surgeon's device, an automated platform, and a server. The surgeon's device can send a request for a template of a biomedical implant, and can access tools to edit the template. The automated platform can receive the edited template, and can generate a response. The response can include translating the edited template into a design for a biomedical implant. The response can further include generating a notice if the edited template falls outside of an acceptable range, or if the edited template is similar to the design of a standard biomedical implant. There can also be provided a manufacturing facility that can manufacture the implant and send the implant to the surgeon.
