Patent number: 12555819Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus related to thermal energy storage with phase change materials having an adjustable transition temperature. In one aspect, a method includes providing a device. The devices includes a phase change material, a salt dissolved in the phase change material, and an anode and a cathode disposed in the phase change material. The phase change material changes from a solid to a liquid at a first temperature when the salt is dissolved in the phase change material. A voltage is applied to the anode and the cathode to substantially remove the salt from the phase change material. The phase change material changes from the solid to the liquid at a second temperature when the salt is substantially removed from the phase change material, with the first temperature being a lower temperature than the second temperature.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2022Date of Patent: February 17, 2026Assignee: THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIAInventors: Ravi Prasher, Sumanjeet Kaur, Gao Liu, Christopher Dames, Jonathan Lau, Drew Lilley, Piyachai Khomein, Joseph Papp

Publication number: 20260031688Abstract: A concentrated coil manufacturing apparatus for transfer to a stator tooth is provided. The apparatus may comprise a spindle and a coil transfer tool. The spindle may comprise a spindle winding machine mount and a transfer tool mount. The coil transfer tool may extend from a spindle mounting end to a distal end; and may have a coil carrier and a crown. The coil carrier may extend from the crown towards the spindle mounting end. The spindle mounting end of the coil transfer tool may be removably securable to the spindle at the transfer tool mount. When the coil transfer tool is removably secured to the spindle, the coil transfer tool and the spindle may collectively define upper and lower coil endcap mounts that are closed in that each endcap mount includes a proximal portion defined by the spindle joined to a distal portion defined by the coil transfer tool.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2025Publication date: January 29, 2026Inventors: Jonathan Lau, Berker Bilgin

Patent number: 6947947Abstract: A method for adding labels to data, for example XML compliant or XBRL compliant labels, includes a) identifying data in an electronically represented file, b) selecting labels that correspond to text strings in the identified data, based on a list associating labels with text strings, and c) adding the selected labels into the electronically represented file to label the text strings and elements in the identified data associated with the text strings. The labels include information about the data and are defined in one or more taxonomies. When the list does not associate a label with the text string, a user can be prompted to select a label corresponding to a text string in the identified data. The association indicated by the user's selection, can then be added to the list associating labels with text strings.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2002Date of Patent: September 20, 2005Assignee: Universal Business Matrix LLCInventors: Robert S. Block, Gary Gannon, Uday Kothari, Jonathan Lau, Fred Chapus
