Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus related to thermal energy storage with phase change materials having an adjustable transition temperature. In one aspect, a method includes providing a device. The devices includes a phase change material, a salt dissolved in the phase change material, and an anode and a cathode disposed in the phase change material. The phase change material changes from a solid to a liquid at a first temperature when the salt is dissolved in the phase change material. A voltage is applied to the anode and the cathode to substantially remove the salt from the phase change material. The phase change material changes from the solid to the liquid at a second temperature when the salt is substantially removed from the phase change material, with the first temperature being a lower temperature than the second temperature.

Abstract: A storage and dispensing system for storing and dispensing temperature sensitive items is provided. The system includes a storage chamber, a dispensing chamber, an electro-mechanical module, and a cooling system. The storage chamber has walls defining plural compartments formed integrally therein for storing the temperature sensitive items at an ultra-low temperature. Each compartment is formed as a cylindrical sector with an inclined bottom surface. The plural compartments are arranged circumferentially around a vertical axis and stacked together in one or more rows, thereby an individual temperature sensitive item is slidable out of a respective compartment to the dispensing chamber by gravitational force. The electro-mechanical module is configured to rotate the storage chamber about the vertical axis. The storage chamber does not include any mechanical or electrical components inside, which avoids the need for devices that can tolerate an extremely low temperature environment.

Abstract: By mixing Poly (3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) with carbon nanotubes (CNT), the resultant mixture of P3HT-CNT serves as a surface coating for the cathode material LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 (NCA) and offers a number of advantageous properties when used as a conductive binder for lithium-ion battery cathode materials.

The removable clamping device is disposed on the display module so as to clip eyeglasses of a user. A real-time video device is also disclosed in this invention. The real-time video device includes an image capturing device, a receiving device, and a head mounted display. The image capturing device is able to capture a motion image of a user continuously and transfer a signal of the motion image. The receiving device is used to receive the signal of the motion image. The head mounted display is mounted on the head of the user; the motion image is displayed on a display element of the head mounted display instantaneously.

A portion of the profile is used to create a media card that includes on or more actionable elements that enable the member to interact with the media community. The media card may be embedded in a memory area of the portable media player and accessible by one or more other members of the media community. Utilizing the tag, a member may create and share playlists with other members of the community. Also, a member of the media community can create a friend list comprising of media cards of other members to interact with the other members associated with the media cards.
