  • Publication number: 20230118670
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a metal component includes the following steps: a shell made of a titanium-based material is provided, the shell having a first surface and a second surface remote from the first surface; a covering layer made of a titanium fire-resistant material is produced by additive manufacturing on the shell such that the covering layer at least partially covers the first surface and/or the second surface; and, after the additive manufacturing step, the metal component is heat treated at a temperature of between 200° C. and 1000° C.

  • Patent number: 10393720
Abstract: A method and system for dynamic locating of a fault observed in a defective component related to a forging operation, in which: a processor models a shaping operation of a component by forging, as per a set of successive models of the component; a processor adds a fault plotter to a first model of the set of models, in a zone corresponding to a region of the fault in the defective component to obtain a first plotted model; and a processor tracks the plotter in time from the first plotted model during the modelling to locate an origin of the fault.

  • Patent number: 9429034
Abstract: A method of fabricating a turbine engine shaft from a metal billet of generally cylindrical shape, the method including drilling the billet to form a through axial cylindrical bore therein, engaging a cylindrical insert in the bore, the insert being made of a material having yield stress close to that of the material of the billet so that the materials of the insert and of the billet have substantially the same behavior during forging, hot forging the billet to form a forged blank of length greater than that of the billet, withdrawing the insert, and machining the blank.
